A little too cold for my liking to wonder outside this week, so I rummaged through the house to find some historical artifacts. I'm not much of a history buff, and don't collect a lot of stuff, but I came across this newspaper I kept for my grandkids to have as a reminder of the history that was made during the presidential election of 2008. I used my Canon 7D, Canon 85mm 1.8 lens and natural window light.

Introducing Zimba, our 8 week old Rhodesian Ridegeback puppy.

Things seem to be going ok. We had a little cry the first night for ten minutes but since then he settles in his crate no problem. He's learnt to sit when asked and is asking to go out to the toilet after only two days with us.

The cat is not too bad, we had a bit of an altercation between them when he came bounding in from the garden all excited, but I suppose it takes time.

My dogs and I walk by this broken corral every day. It is in the middle of a huge empty field and it looks very unassuming until you get close to it. I think it is beautiful and often use it as a backdrop in my people photography.

Not very inspired. I didn't have much time to play around this week. I was going to work in some of my sons Ninjago lego guys but couldn't work it out to make it look the way I wanted it to.

The back of this picture is blown out, but if I wanted to prevent it my face would be too dark.

Oh well.

This has a really summer-y feeling to it, I think.

It was a hell of a time trying to take a decent picture with the flowers falling out

of my hair every 3 seconds and the puppies making off with them.

But I'm satisfied with the shot.

I'm gonna shave my head on 8th February 2009 for Thaipusam Festival. So playing around with my hair while I can.Don't think so I'm allowed to keep my hair longer in the future due to career and natural disaster(my father is bold,so I might be bold too ..hahaha :D )

I have started a project called Weeks for year 2009. In this, I will upload minimum 3 photos weekly.

For the past few weeks picking up that camera has become an afterthought. A dramatic as it sounds August and the first few weeks of September are going to mean a massive change in my life. Either everything works out and I move out of my home country or I'm stuck here for another year. In any case my anxiety and stress levels are off the charts and I haven't been taking care of myself, physically or emotionally and my photography has suffered for it. The 52 week project isn't particularly challenging and I don't feel I've grown much in a while. Once everything is sorted out I just might go ahead and do a proper 365 again. I need the push and the challenge.

Holiday Decorations - As usual, I have a TON of photos that fit the description, but I just keep coming back to this one. I hope all of you have a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year… If you celebrate a different holiday, enjoy it & all that it implies for you & yours!
