I saw this spider in my garden this morning, and the sunlight was shining on the web. Chuffed to bits I am, with the way it's turned out... my first close up of a spider - woohoo!

The first triangle web spider, Hyptiotes cavatus, that I have seen in years! Two of them, actually, on a cliff face along Snake Road in the LaRue-Pine Hills Research Natural Area, Illinois, USA, on October 12, 2023.
