I submitted this photo for my photogrpahy group's weekly challenge - topic: "Part of the Full Picture" . As you can see it's part of a spider web.
I believe this is another composite web of a Labyrinth Spider (genus Metepeira, Araneidae) in an old plant of native Bird's Beak (Cordylanthus rigidus, Orobanchaceae) with an orb web on the right and the spider's retreat on the left. The two are connected by several "sensing lines" that the spider uses to sense activity in its web - in fact, you can see part of the spider's leg inside its retreat, I'll make a note. This photo shows that the sensing line is under considerable tension, see this photo from last week for another example. Happy Web Webnesday! (San Marcos Pass, 8 March 2020)

Como previo al comienzo de curso, se realizaron diferentes actos de campaña en Canarias y en las delegaciones peninsulares de ECCA. En las Ramblas de Mesa y López de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria intervino el director titular de Radio ECCA, Lucas López SJ, y, en la Plaza Weyler de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, su directora gerente, Amparo Osorio.
En su exposición pública Lucas López SJ subrayó que, en los últimos cinco años, más 5000 personas han titulado con Radio ECCA. Calificó el dato como una cifra importante, es el 40% de las personas que titulan en Canarias, “pero es muy bajo si lo comparamos con el número de personas desempleadas que no tiene titulación, que es el 50% de estas. Tenemos muchas razones para movilizarnos”, concluyó.

Those web were really interesting, you wouldn't usually notice them, but it was a very foggy and wet day… I liked how the grass background kind of echoed the finer web lines. For this photo I boosted the contrast to really highlight the web.
