Tangled web
If you view this in Lightbox you can see the web being spun - quite fascinating. I have never really noticed the spineret before. This was taken using the 5D mk III at ISO 2500, 1/250s at F5.6. I used flash and a large diffuser. I think I set the flash compensation at -2[ish]. Just a bit of an experiment for me but I was tolerably happy with the outcome after about a dozen attempts, with and without flash. The spider does not get blitzed by the flash as there is a large white screen between the flashgun and the arachnid.
