- actually it's indoors; I'd wanted to photograph the web strung across the garden path, but it was blowing about too much in the breeze.

Overnight the spiders builsd seemingly impossible constructions, with the supporting features several metres apart

Old barn near Kremmling, Colorado. Late day sun after a fishing trip. I didn't fish, I took pictures :)

Earth (and some Air) for Macro Mondays Four Elements - I was re-potting a plant so this earth has a few roots in it. As the surface was inside the pot it is curved which is my excuse for not getting it all in focus

Days, months & years have passed so quickly... that now its hard to say that im surviving or dying... All iknow is im Always Ready As I Should be.

Water drops on a spider web.

Explored.

This thing was about two feet from top to bottom -- with such a huge web I was afraid to meet its creator. So I stood back a few yards and used the telephoto.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I was attracted to the way the light shone on the archway over Pershing Plaza outside Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Shot with a 12-24 Sony lens at 19 mm. There's hardly a line at a 90-degree angle. Looks a little like Salvador Dali on a bad day.

Balancing on a pole for Macro Mondays - Balance - an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady

I'm still having fun with my new software. This is a spider web, that I put in neon.

Thanks for taking time to comment, fave and look at my work. I really appreciate.

I've seen this garden spider before, just hanging around on his web. I wonder how long they live.

It’s all about imagination!

Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."

It was very foggy the morning this photo was taken, and the vegetation and spider webs were heavily covered with dew.

The rising sun illuminates the Manhattan skyline as shot from Brooklyn Bridge Park. Shot with a Sony A6500 and 18-55 lens with 10-stop neutral density filter.

More dewdrop spiderweb fun @ my house this morning.

I've uploaded a large file for pixelpeeping purposes

Amazing that a spider can make these intricate patterns all designed to catch it's prey.

I cheated and used a star filter on my camera to get the sparkle on this dew covered spider web.

Fine looking spider in my garden doing it's thing. Built a web and wrapped up a meal.

A pretty little spider that Mary spotted while we were out looking for dragonflies yesterday. As she didn't want to get close - not being a spider fan - I quickly got a shot.

Apparently the Nursery-web Spider likes to sunbathe and typically holds its front two pairs of legs together pointing forwards. During mating the male presents the female with a carefully wrapped insect as a present. The female carries her eggs in a ball shaped, pea-sized sack with her. Just before the babies hatch she builds a silk tent and puts them inside for protection.

A classic spider shot for Flickr Friday 'classic' theme.

I've decided to make it Web Wednesday! I have a few photos that show the webs rather nicely. It's often tempting for me to crop in to the spider, but with a web like this, you'll just have to make due with a smaller spider. :-) I left the image big enough that you can view larger to see the spider.

This is a Trashline Orbweaver, and it appears she has lunch at the front end, and a fluffy, trashy egg sac behind.
