I was attracted to the way the light shone on the archway over Pershing Plaza outside Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Shot with a 12-24 Sony lens at 19 mm. There's hardly a line at a 90-degree angle. Looks a little like Salvador Dali on a bad day.

Happy Web Wednesday have a good day folks ;0)

I've seen this garden spider before, just hanging around on his web. I wonder how long they live.

It’s all about imagination!

Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."

More dewdrop spiderweb fun @ my house this morning.

I've uploaded a large file for pixelpeeping purposes

Like an acrobat dancing in the evening sun...only this is done to survive.

The sun was backlighting and revealing this gorgeous web and Garden Spider (Orb Weaver) so beautifully, it just had to be snapped...! ;-)

I have never heard of them before. Anyone have more info?

Here's a rendition of a closeup, dew-covered spider web I took and posted a few years ago, presented here with a touch of Fractalius for some color and eye-delight. Something of a tribute to The Grateful Dead, as I've recently discovered a TON of concerts (released already in limited quantities). I've bookmarked 15 shows in the last couple of weeks, and I still haven't listened to them all in their entirety, getting caught up in this song at that show, and so on. And there are hundreds more to listen to, still . . . to discover still . . . I've been listening to nothing but The Dead for nearly a month . . . and nope, it doesn't ever get old. That's the beauty of it.

Those of you who are Deadheads (or Phishheads, for all that) or into them the slightest, will understand the obsession. But, with The Dead and Phish, you either like them or you don't. And there's no argument from me to those who don't get it . . . the fewer the better. :-) Man, I miss Dead shows . . .

Sorry for getting off on a Dead rant . . . They do make me happy and tend to keep me sane.

Thanks for Viewing.

Fine looking spider in my garden doing it's thing. Built a web and wrapped up a meal.

I've decided to make it Web Wednesday! I have a few photos that show the webs rather nicely. It's often tempting for me to crop in to the spider, but with a web like this, you'll just have to make due with a smaller spider. :-) I left the image big enough that you can view larger to see the spider.

This is a Trashline Orbweaver, and it appears she has lunch at the front end, and a fluffy, trashy egg sac behind.
