The Armour-Stiner Octagon House, Irvington, NY

I'm sure I should be doing something important but I seem to be having too much fun messing around with Photoshop instead :-)

Seeking bokeh around Mobile Bay.

In my garden today. Im not a lover of spiders but I do like these. Zoom in for more detail.....or maybe not :)))

The Nursery Web Spider (Pisaurina mira) is called so because the female makes a silken nursery web for its young and guards over it; she will not leave her egg sac until all the spiderlings have hatched and dispersed.

Trekking through the woods on Gabriola Island

The brutal truth of the insect world, a large grasshopper met his fate in a carefree hop into the web of a large garden spider. Today is the "Day of the Dead" so figured this would fit the November 1st closure of the many festivals for the dead that began beginning of October and went all month around the world.

We had some rain yesterday after a long dry spell and the spiders had to do some repair or completely rebuild their webs.

Dew on a web, providing a curtain to the world behind.

A detail from a larger installation piece of woven copper wire, by Italian painter, sculptor, and installation artist Marisa Merz.

A spider web that has been outside my office window for a few weeks. I am not sure I should have left the bright blue in the top left in the crop.

Back yard Dragonfly

I love walking outside and seeing webs everywhere in the morning light.

I also love how sometimes they are totally symmetrical and sometimes they are totally schizophrenic. I guess the spiders are all different.

Just like us.

Jamaica Bay, Queens, New York

These webs were in several areas along the trail. I've seen them before but never this heavy. Seems strange that the spider would build there web on the floor of the forest. I've got a great pic for slider Sunday..;)

Fog has some interesting effects.

Forgotton I had taken this, wish it had a spider!! Taken in the New Forest.
