CSX T090–31 is seen rolling through Weber City,Virginia on Norfolk Southern’s Appalachia District. This train will meet NS T52 at Yuma before proceeding to the connection with CSX’s Kingsport Subdivision at Frisco Junction.
Shot on a very breezy autumn morning, this spider clung onto her web remorselessly as it vibrated and shook. Although windy, it was unusually warm and I think she was intent on basking in the heat reflected from the wall behind her.

The wind was blowing and I think that the blue vertical lines might be portions of the web moving and reflecting the flash! Interesting!
I'm missing summer days right about now. This was taken this past summer at a plant nursery in Nova Scotia, Canada.

An early morning walk in the fields at this time year provides many opportunities to see hundreds of Spider Webs....they are amazingly intricate and so strong...they are lovely of themselves.

I took Jimmy for a walk at his favorite trails for the first time since his surgery. It's been unusually warm for this time of year the last week or so. We're enjoying every minute of it :)

The unseasonably warm weather during the last days seems to have inspired the young spiders to weave their first webs.
