Dew clings to a orb web in the an East Texas river bottom

A frosty, still, misty morning meant that I took 90 minutes to do a 20 minute journey to work - and I would have taken longer except I had a meeting to attend. Outside the Swan Hotel in Newby Bridge, the riverside cobwebs were so still I could take this macro photo handheld.

Taken in the Adelaide Hills, this spiders web caught my eye on a morning walk. The grass behind was covered in heavy dew and the sun was just extending it's fingers onto the wet ground.

I was so happy to see this lovely orb spider and web in the backyard. I captured this as the sun was starting to set.

One morning last week I noticed 3 works of art in my yard... Spiderwebs!

I'm not crazy about spiders but I do love to admire their work! There's no denying that what they do is simply amazing!!!

At a friend's horse farm early this morning, I saw this web in between the fence rails and had high hopes for this shot. I was fending off 2 adorable labs and a hound dog who thought my crouched position meant play time!

The image doesn't have the pop it should have, but I am posting it because I think it was a neat idea, anyway.

The Web New York's 19th Anniversary Party

Happy Webnesday!

This was taken the day after a big rainstorm hit Fort Collins. 3-5 inches of rain per hour for a few hours. The next day brought lots of early morning fog, a rarity in this area.
