Of all the horses I have came across, this one is by far the oldest, and in many respect the most jaded. It carries itself as if it had been through a life of toil and hardship – one that I can only imagine. Because of its unattractive looks, children do not come close to it, nor does it care to be touched.

When you're weary

Feeling small

When tears are in your eyes

I will dry them all

I'm on your side

When times get rough

And friends just can't be found

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will lay me down

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will lay me down

When you're down and out

When you're on the street

When evening falls so hard

I will comfort you

I'll take your part

When darkness comes

And pain is all around

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will lay me down

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will lay me down

Sail on Silver Girl

Sail on by

Your time has come to shine

All your dreams are on their way

See how they shine (See how they shine)

If you need a friend (If you need a friend)

I'm sailing right behind

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will ease your mind

Like a bridge over troubled water

I will ease your mind

I will ease your mind.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this sad state of affairs...

The worn and tattered face of CP 6017 catches the light's final rays between Camp Douglas and Oakdale. They're ambling west with no purpose to move after getting their lights taken back for a second time to let the local out of the sand plant at Badger ahead of them. With the slow roll on, and light disappearing by the second I had to revert to this over going a bit wider with the curve in the foreground.

Plenty of time to juggle some pixels now, a refreshing change for me.

The Painted Lady [Vanessa cardui] is a long distance traveller which results in spectacular migrations starting in North Africa. In 2009 a mass influx to our shores is regarded as one of the greatest mass migrations ever. The Butterfly is the only one ever recorded in Iceland!

At the end of a long journey, where the most fantastic lenticular sky tempted me over Glasgow, but I couldn't stop as we had a ferry to catch. Finally as we reached Uig on Skye , after a 10 hour drive, the sky started to clear. When we arrived at Hosta beach this is the view we had from our tent, a ridiculous sky welcomed us to the Island. it was almost too much for my weary eyes. Weary eyes is by Augustines, this is a postcard for Larissa, who's midsummer celebrations ended in gales. It's to remind her what a sunset looks like. All alone on the beach again, and the most magical place to camp.

Thanks for the visit, kind comments and favorites, I also wish a great week ahead, my friends! Greetings from Brazil ..

P.S.Strange thing is, that, after posting this pic, i started to see in it a caped monks parade , in a cave with stalactites, reaching for a stone carved ladder in the dark! Brrrr! It's a little bit creepy...:-)

Ok one more Quokka shot. I only have 1495 left so I have to pace these. This one just woke up as I approached so I cut short the photo shoot so he could get back to sleep. Just woke up and still smiling - I don't wake up like this.

Also a danger with where they situate themselves some around the dunes amongst wood covered ground under trees so I have to keep a weary eye for dugites slithering around.

Wretched yesterday, and pretty this morning, particularly just before dawn. Shot on my street in Abington, Pa., after the first of three winter storms forecast for this week. Canadians and those from Wisconsin no doubt think we are wimps, but people have grown weary of this. I kind of like it, despite sore muscles from all the snow shoveling.

Murmullos de niebla recorren la superficie queda del Ibón, encontrando en sus orillas escapatorias de pradera y rocío... Carboneros, herrerillos y pinzones, inundan la quietud del paisaje con su algarabía de primavera encantada...

It wasn't so long ago that the BNSF had a lot of variety and color roaming around its system, before the homogenized generic orange swoosh pumpkins took over everything. Yet, even by 2014, the old Superfleet-style Warbonnets were already becoming rare. And so it was that, on my way to work one day, I decided to stop and photograph this parked oil train led by BNSF "Fakebonnet" 8301 and BNSF 1062 still in as-delivered "H1" paint. Santa Fe purists will say this was never a true Warbonnet, due to it carrying post-merger BNSF markings instead of Santa Fe. However, since these were already rare, I always said a Warbonnet is a Warbonnet is a Warbonnet, and it is not the time to be picky. Today, these SD75's are all either stored, scrapped, or otherwise off-roster. If you can find a Warbonnet, get any shot you can, while you still can.
