“In a cool solitude of trees
Where leaves and birds a music spin,
Mind that was weary is at ease,
New rhythms in the soul begin.
- In a Cool Solitude of Trees”

Sweet Blondie was taking a moment for herself between being a nursing mom and finding food for herself to just lay down and rest against a pine tree.
- Toc, toc, toc !
This pair of older bison had just swum across Yellowstone's Firehole River and we're catching their breath. They were exhausted, wet and muddy. Old timers. They recovered eventually and mosied along to newer pastures.

Oh, I am very weary, Though tears no longer flow; My eyes are tired of weeping, My heart is sick of woe.

Since hitting the road from western shore
more than a decade has passed me bye.
A journeyed traveler on a life long tour
to reach east coast dawn, soul will soar
unto the heavens with a twinkling eye.
This vagabond life can I transcend?
To give up sleeping beneath the stars
Life on life’s terms does not pretend
This journey fades as I near the end
The long sleep under Venus and Mars

Waitin' For My Dearie
From Brigadoon
Tune: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hyiv_ghxpA&t=2s
Many a lassie as everyone knows'll
Try to be married before twenty five
So she'll agree to most any proposal
All he mus' be is a man an' alive
I hold a dream an' there's no compromisin'
I know there's one certain laddie for me
One day he'll come walkin' o'er the horizon
But should he not, then an old maid I'll be
Foolish, ye may say
Foolish I will stay
Waitin' for my dearie, an' happy am I
To hold my heart till he comes strollin' by
When he comes, my dearie, one look an' I'll know
That he's the dearie I've been wantin' so
Though I'll live forty lives till the day he arrives
I'll not ever, ever grieve
For my hopes will be high that he'll come strollin' by
For ye see, I believe
That there's a laddie weary and wanderin' free
Who's waitin' for his dearie, me!
What do ye do while ye're waitin' around
For your lad to come your way?
Well, when no one is lookin', ye kneel on the ground
An' ye pray an' pray an' pray
But when lassies sit an' have no men
Oh, how long becomes the night
But I fear the night is longer
When the lad's no' right
Waitin' for my dearie is sweeter to me
Than wooin' any laddie on the lea
Dreamin' of your dearie an' idlin' the day
That's how I am
An' how I'll ever stay
Though I'll live forty lives till the day he arrives
I'll not ever, ever grieve
For my hopes will be high that he'll come strollin' by
For ye see, I believe
That there's a laddie weary an' wanderin' free
Who's waitin' for his dearie, me!

It's a wonderful cloudless sky today, so I'll cycle down to see the bees later. I'm so lucky I can cycle down to reach the coast, buying the bike has been one of the best things I've done. To just see the coast every day is so uplifting, even if the strong coastal winds make the cycling so hard. I'm certainly getting fitter, so I thought I'd post an uplifting coastal shot from a typical low tide walk. Never get weary is by Toots and the Maytals.
This male has been busy this week feeding the fledglings that are out of the nest and staying close begging for food. The female is already on her new nest as is one other.
It was pouring outside when this male Purple Finch showed up at the feeder. It was the only bird eating on the deck during this rain storm. I was happy it could eat and get some shelter before moving on.

Having grown weary of the winter, the Blessed family decides to take a vacation to the East. Little did they know, the communal resort they decide upon was designed by a wealthy businessman who had very little knowledge of the culture. The result was an eclectic mixture of both Eastern and Western styles.
Oh well, I'm tired and so weary
But I must go alone
Till the Lord comes and calls
Calls me away, oh yes...
Well, the morning's so bright
And the lamp is alight
And the night, the night is as black
As the sea, oh yes...
There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord, I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow, no trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me someday...

Another sunset from my window.... As it set and reflected off the calm sea, I was moved to tears by the beauty of it... Emotionally fragile I guess...
I noticed this weary traveler napping on a park bench along the harbor in historic St.Pete’s. I should have added this earlier .. this is not a homeless person. He was with part of a traveling group and truly in need of some shut eye .
