Lava rocks along the coast of Maui.

I'm grateful to Nathalie for her infinitely better title suggestion than my original, awful "Rushing Water".

A rather wild sea running today .............

waves churning off Saltburn

This is a photo of the light reflecting on the surface of a wave in the clear water at Clam Harbour Beach.

When we visited Carrapateira in october a strong east wind blew offshore against the Atlantic waves. It was amazing for us to look, how the spray blew in the opposite direction to the breaking waves.

Another one from Tungeneset, Senja. A little more action in this one, than in my previous postings.

Today storm Eleanor hit the west of the UK, like a mad man i headed out to a spot which can get pretty wild at times to try and capture an image ive had in thought for a while now. All the elements for the shot where there today but they didn't arrive at the same time so its back to waiting. I did capture some interesting images which i will share shortly. This image is just of two waves about to crash and release their energy.

It's probably only me but that curved petal reminds me of a wave about to break on the shore.

Waves rolling in, with the merest hint of a crest.

An ICM when moving back from a wave that tried to get me.

Grand Mere State Park

Second picture of the series Wave Power.

(The following image is an example of what that might be changing a photograph as it influences the light and the technique used. For this shot had not yet left the sun, and long exposure time created that totally different to the previous photo)

Sunrise on the beautiful village of Villajoyosa -Alicante-.

That day was blowing east wind, the waves crashed against the shore, tranquility in place...

The sun is not out of the horizon yet, nothing left to see how the power of the sea struck again and again against the shore.

Spectacles of nature that gives us every day and that lack of time sometimes do not appreciate.

To achieve this photograph I used a four-step filter and black card technique.

Image dedicated to my friend on Flickr Julián Solana (Tiogran), who met him in person that morning in his wonderful land.

I hope you like it. Have a nice Monday. :)

A simple image of driftwood, washed up on the beach at Cullen in Morayshire, Scotland. I almost walked past this without photographing it, as I was in a world of my own. Glad I took the time though.

West Wittering Wave On Breakwater

This was taken yesterday at our lighthouse. We had some pretty good waves too.

Il mare spesso parla con parole lontane, dice cose che nessuno sa. Soltanto quelli che conoscono l'amore possono apprendere la lezione dalle onde, che hanno il movimento del cuore...
