This photo of my friend and his son was a random shot. The little boy was understandably nervous about the huge waves, so his dad picked him up to make him a bit more secure. I took several shots, but this one had the best waves and the most comfortable father-son moment.

I had to drive out to my daughter's college in Kenosha. Despite being in one of my worst flareups, I had to stop at the shore to do a short, 8 second, text-able video for the Disabled Guy (he didn't believe me that Lake Michigan has waves like the ocean).
And while I was there, I took a bunch of photos of a few seagulls.
The waves crash on to the beach at Couminole on Slea Head, Co. Kerry.
Standing where I was when I took this image was scary. Huge waves lifting up water to head height before crashing down mere feet in front of me.

Simple Wave (Scopula junctaria) – Hodges#7164
This poor wave moth was missing a chunk of one hindwing. It could also be a Large Lace-border (BugGuide / MPG), but most Large Lace-borders I've seen are more heavily marked than this individual, and this moth seems to lack some of the discal spots that are characteristic of that species.
These things look like a whole lot of fun, but when you're in your 50's with a bad back, they might not be the best medicine! I felt like saying "ouch!" every time this wave runner slammed into the waves!
