Totally surfable water conditions just north of the Manhattan Beach pier. Predictions for 24 foot didn't pan out but the waves were closing out. Only a few of the On Friday Crew braved the water.

I'm not sure, but I think the pilot was waving with his air-brake to the adoring crowd up on what I am now calling Sunburn Hill.
These F-15 fighter jets have been in Grenada as support for President Obama's visit to Trinidad. It's been quite a show. They have been waking the kids up at 1:30 am with their take offs, but it has been well worth it!

This is an image made from my deck of intrepid surfers on a huge break about 2 kms from me. The surfers are towed onto the 10 m waves by jetskis. There was quite a haze that softens the image. Perhaps I should have used a polarising filter?
kinetic paper installation
CITROËN celebrates the 5th anniversary of its DS-Models, and in the same time marks the 136th birthday of its founder Andre Citroën while presenting its newest C4 Cactus model, below “The Paper Wave” the longest Kinetic Lights installation ever.
A 65m long array of Kinetic Lights hovered above the car-runway while cars creating ripples were passing underneath. The installation looks like a delicate wave and is made of thin paper sheets that change colors. The installation is simple and pure, in the same time it is unique in its dimension and layer-like structure.
