Soaring in the face of the gale and breaking wave, the gull seems to have no sense of danger. I was thrilled to experience the highest seas I can remember on my return to Middle Cove, near St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The weather was miserable, but the ocean was truly magnificent. More later. In Explore.

Do you ever feel like you just cannot capture the "magesty" and "magnitude" of nature????.

It always seems to me that when you are there experiencing the ocean, a waterfall, a river, a sunset, the feeling is far beyond what the camera is capable of capturing.

So it was here at Shore acres, between storms. The sunlight crept through just a touch to capture this wave. All around it was raining and getting ready to rain. What a feeling !!

Wave off the coast of Gran Canaria. A nice and quiet day, but still sizable waves hitting the coast near Patalavaca

The rough seas bring out the green in the water. Trial Island sits on top.

Trial Harbour, Tasmania

It was named after the cutter Trial which first anchored there in 1881.

The harbour was utilised for a short while during the establishment of the early mining communities of Zeehan, and Queenstown, prior to the establishment of the settlements and facilities at Strahan and Regatta Point.

Taken this afternoon at Tynemouth where the waves were giving the pier quite a hammering

Last week I stood in the Cornish Seas... with 6 foot waves heading straight towards me... and loved every second of it...... Wave Photography is something I have wanted to try for a while now and was really lucky with the conditions to be able to achieve it....
