A well known and frequently photographed feature in Valley of Fire State Park that is called "Fire Wave". It is best photographed near sunset, but then there are many visitors around and difficult to get photos without lots of people in the scene. There were only 5 early morning visitors here when this image was made. A portion of the shadow of one of the photographer's tripod is in the lower portion of this image, which maybe I should have cropped out to avoid any human evidence in the photo.

Life comes at us in waves. We can’t predict or control those waves, but we can learn to surf.
It is like the ocean. It can be calm and still and rough or rigid. But in the end, it is always beautiful.
This is number 3 in a series entitled Wave Jumper. This snowy egret did not want to "ride the waves" as it was fishing and decided to jump over it to avoid getting soaked. Thanks for visiting!
Sharrow beach, Cornwall, UK. At first I was cautious about heading out in stormy conditions, but with a quick check of the weather forecast I had faith that the weather would break. As the sun dropped towards the horizon it did just that, the clouds began to part, creating this wonderful atmosphere. Thanks for looking :-)
It was both a bit drizzly and a bit sunny yesterday morning and then also with the swell and the spray the cliffs were drenched and glistening. Together with the gentle spring air , It was as they say back home in Ireland a 'soft' morning .
