This image I captured shortly past sunrise as the tide was being pushed up the bay by a strong, persistent wind. The wave heights were amazing and the sea-sounds were mesmerizing. I found it interesting that the stand-alone cloud near mimics the crashing wave in shape and color.
I took a few closeup shots of waves crashing at Plum Island as the remnants of a hurricane comes up the coast.

At Kurnell, near Cronulla on the east coast of NSW - an overcast day with a big surf running. This isn't one of the big waves, but I liked the drama and the colour.
Sharrow beach, Cornwall, UK. At first I was cautious about heading out in stormy conditions, but with a quick check of the weather forecast I had faith that the weather would break. As the sun dropped towards the horizon it did just that, the clouds began to part, creating this wonderful atmosphere. Thanks for looking :-)
It was both a bit drizzly and a bit sunny yesterday morning and then also with the swell and the spray the cliffs were drenched and glistening. Together with the gentle spring air , It was as they say back home in Ireland a 'soft' morning .

From our visit to East Preston before Christmas. Looking forward to moving south but clearly need to be back from the beach if the world weather is gonna be changing so radically!
