A certain amount of sanding dust has coated the inside of the window and windscreen. Need to go after it with a damp Q tip. Note that the pilot and copilot's seats are slightly different shapes and a different upholstery compared to the passenger seat.

Trying out a new paper Kozo nature...50 gr...and i love it...it could be my paper, I can feel...I do have some kozo white also, maybe a bit heavier....but this is kozo nature, 50 gr.
from left: I used only Cranfield waterbased and thsi first print was awfull, sticky and too dry.....the next nr. 2 I put some Schmincke sepia( also waterbased in the already made darker red and it actually made my favorite colour ( which I had thought) but what the schmincke also did was making it more fluid and made a better print.....the nr. 3 is made by putting more colour on the roller and i did at the same time change my roller to an absolutely new one (red one and bigger) and the 4. th print had got even more colour on the newer roller...
I made all 4 with using a baren and a spoon...and you can see the moving marks of the spoon on nr. 1 so easily...and i cahnged my movemnets from around to more back and forth….
And I do not find these 100 % satisfactory but the 4th. was the best I coud do..... and using these waterbased printing colours do not leave you enough time to make more prints while the colour get sticky and dry out on the rolling table….
One day I will try out the Akua waterbased intaglio inks and see if i can get some satisfactory results from them…
Or else i will use oilbased printing ink that stay open much longer.....but I really would love making lino using waterbased if that was possible….
Now I've added some white on the catch tank behind the transmission, on the springs around the coil-over setups, and on the air ducts leading to the rear brakes.

My husband found a fountain pen, Japanese brand, Preppy. Cheap but what I love about is the waterbased ink in its cartridge. I just used a waterbrush to create tones.
Also my first attempt with watercolor on this paper. Holds it well.

Once again things are beginning to glow with eerie light at the Luther house, this must mean Halloween is fast approaching. (This project was inspired by Pumpkinrot. He calls these Witch Jars. Sometimes people call them Swamp Jars.) How to make a gunky jar: use clean clear glass jars with lids (we bought ours at Dollar Tree) Pour some water based stain into the jar, you can use any color you like. Swirl the stain, make the stain run up and down the glass, move it around, pour out extra stain into the next jar, keep the stain moving and recoating among your various jars. Using waterbased stain means it dries faster so you only have to swish this stuff around for about an hour. As it begins to dry squirt the stained sides with watery black paint or red if you want some gore. This just adds a new color of yuck to the mix. Swish it around and tip the jar so the new color moves and runs. Now add a bit of fine grained sand, just a little here and there, I also added some grunge spice (with copper glitter) for added texture. If you don't object to dirt you can use that too, I didn't. Add more stain or watery paint if you think you need it. Make sure everything is sticking to the sides of the jar and not just running to the bottom. If it's still too drippy you need to keep the gunk moving back up and down the sides so the jar will look gunky when lit. Once things are getting sticky and staying where you like it, let the jars dry over night. Day 2- paint the lids a gunky color, we used black, hot glue on some creepy cloth. Before adding the lids I added a bit of wire to make these hangable (is that a word?) We also used just the outer ring of a canning lid so we don't have to unscrew the lids to drop in the lights. We're using battery operated tealights. Turn on the light, drop it in the jar and ta-da! Very Cool Witch Lights.

The DC-9 cockpit was scratch built by me using styrene stock, including bread bag tags. The Cessna had some raised detail and I brought out as much as I could, and made up the rest. The Fiero interior is my own idea of cool colors... Pontiac would doubless have made everything the same color, a mark of coolness to most automotive companies.

What's in a cockpit? Seat, control stick, instruments, rudder pedals, throttle, seat belts. Radio. Well, the kit came with a seat, and radio, and some versions might have had an instrument panel decal. I got this one from a Microscale P-39 decal sheet, along with the walkways and don't-walk-here markings.

Second evening in London, before going to theatre to see Sister Act. Mostly experiental shots. Some came out too dark, some good.
This is the pub sign of the pub John Snow.
No it is not named after the news reader Jon Snow, but the Victorian doctor John Snow who discovered that cholera was a waterbased disease and nothing to do with vapours and miasma.
This first shot I missed it in the centre, so I took it again (next shot)

This beautifully bulbous machine is the envy of every fleetmaster both in the air and on (or under) the water! She soars easily as a blimp like dirigible, a metal copper and steel creation that patrols the clouds for pirates and evil fiends. But in short order her innards can be rotated as she spins and dives, DIVES at her captain's command and plunges beneath the wazes!
VOILA! A sumbmarine of the first order! In either role her twin props act (with automatic adjustments) as airborne or waterbased locomotionators. Her nose not only acts as tie off mast but has a sensor pod. And her great turrent brings to bear a pair of guns of superb magnitude OR small but potent torpedos!
She has a pair of real, little, metal gears as her props.
This creation is about 2 1/4" long (remember, 2 1/2 centimeters to an inch).
Made almost 100% from wood unless stated otherwise (I sometimes use tiny amounts of other things) I use paint and many finishes, often metallic, and make sure a lot of details shine through, often even the wood grain itself despite high tech themes. They maintain an often retro, sometimes even rustic look and feel to them, like an "olde worlde" toy or something (some more so than others ... I am told that surprisingly many do not even look like they are wood, but like metal or some manmade material... you can usually tell by the photos).
Made of Wood! Part of my "Retro Tech" line ... I build a lot of different things like ray guns, robots, rocket ships, flying saucers, other machines, telescopes and more in many different formats from full size prop replicas to miniatures, Christmas ornaments, jewelry, pendants, etc ... see my main site found through my profile which has many more photos and information. I do a lot of classic looks, but am expanding into more modern and a lot of steampunk, too!

I was asked to paint a model to look like an Asian dragon. Colors had to be a shiny red, with gold. I played with mixing pigment makeup powders with my waterbase makeup (paint) and it worked with amazing results.
The shoot was for a CD cover.

Here it is, before I filed off the rivets. The outline of the fuselage is accurate, and the wings are plausable (I haven't measured them exactly). As molded, the openings for the main gear are the right size and shape, but there's nothing inside the wing except a boss on each side for the gear leg top ends. So I boxed it in, with a front and rear spar, and the solid ribs and bulkheads that completely surround the box the gear folds into.

Little girls were impatient to get their faces painted :)
Silia was the 3rd figure from the set, and the easiest to build and paint - if one can talk about easy by this material nightmare.
(Cheap) Vinyl is waxy and can only be glued with superglue. SInce the forms are hollow, larger parts need some internal support (I used plaster and thin wood sticks, not unlike toothpicks) and to connect the body parts, you have to add internal fittings.
Another nightmare is the painting: vinyl does not hold oil-based paint. I had to resort to waterbased base coat plus water-based, glossy colors. Even though the benefit of these colors was a free mixing of tones to meet the original OAV colors very well, the surface remains sticky until today!
