Our (broken) washing machine at the flat is the same model as my old washing machine my Mother bought when I was born.
Thus, this washing machine is around 18 years old. Funky.
Now profJohn can have the second draughtsman's stool permanently in front of his big computer and he won't hurt his back and his wrists by adopting an incorrect posture!

This light was made out of an old washing machine drum I found and a piece of wire to hold it. Easy and impressive!

Not impressed with this one. It is blurred, and the reason why it is blurred is because I switched off the flash because I was using the natural daylight coming in from the kitchen window and I thought the VR reduction function on my camera would have compensated for what little shake there was when I took the photo. grrr, not happy!
So it has been on a slow rise for 3 days now. We are at 7" deep now. look at all our stuff float. Yey!
In the back you will see a pump we borrowed to try & get the water out.
This is a series I did with Adam and Yedsa, in January, when they were having a hard rubbish collection in their area.

When I unclogged my washing machine after it ate my bathmat the drain contained several handfuls of filthy cotton pulp and a price sticker for a pre-owned DVD copy of Ghostbusters with the word HARRUMPH written on it.
Museum of Water and Steam, London.
Visited on 13th February 2016. Interesting museum which will appeal to older/mature persons and possibly the very young (as there are 'things' for them to play with. Can't see teenagers and young adults visiting without children.
If you like old steam engines then you will like this muesum.

7/15 - The sickness just keeps spreading. No matter how much cleaning I've done, we were all doomed.
Caitlin is doing better for the most part, but she passed it on to me. Not only was I sick, every part of me ached and I had no energy or strength to get out of bed. Didn't help that I couldn't eat anything - or suffer the consequences - so I felt dizzy when I stood up.
7/16 - Rick now has it. He came home from work early and never got back out of bed.
