I passed this place a few weeks ago when on the way back to a friend's house from the restaurant we had been eating at. It struck me that it would be a good subject for a photograph and reminded me of a painting by Edward Hopper. I made a reference photograph at the time using my mobile 'phone. Last night I decided to go back with camera and tripod to try to capture what had drawn me to the subject.
my resident light person has been a bit lazy lately so it had to do some household chores.

I didn't manage to do the 52 week challenge last week so I thought I'd give it try. If Teddy sees an unaccompanied sock he can never resist it! I find socks everywhere.... under the bed, wrapped up in his bed, under tables the list in endless haha He adores them. When he was a puppy I used to leave my socks on the floor during the night and wake up to none, which then followed a long search for where "someone" placed them. I have now learnt to put them in safe places ;)
I haven't been able to comment as much as I would like but I do hope to catch up with everyone's photo's at the weekend, We're off to Crufts tomorrow so it will be a long & busy day.
Today's room fulfills the Minifigure's basic need for clean clo..., I mean bricks!
What sounds like a boring room turned out to feature lots of interesting things like the washing machine, ironing board and a laundry rack!

The box looks really bad ....but it was a real find for me.

Found some old Kodachrome slides I shot 2 years ago hidden under my drawer. The pictures aren't any good but the colours look absolutely gorgeous when holding the slides in front of the light. The scan doesn't do it justice really.
Shame it can't be processed anywhere anymore.

Probably frequent washing with a paw and licking is not enough. Cat got into the washing machine and fell asleep :-))
Strobist: One SB-800 on a small tripod, pressed hard up against the upper left part of the washing machine door and pointed at the back of the drum, with its zoom set to 105mm. No gel. D3 with 24-70mm lens with its lens hood on, hand-held just off the washing machine door upper right. 1/320s, f/18, ISO 500. Cropped, sharpened and white balance warmed slightly in Lightroom 2.7. Flash triggered with P/W Flex TT5 and MiniTT1
