In Halloween time you can see everywhere terrifying ghosts. Perhaps, these two are not so scary... For “Trick or Treat” theme. Happy Macro Monday
A picture taken by a friend on 17/11/1996. This Washeteria launderette in Woodend, Wolverhampton stood almost unchanged from the 1960s into the 1990s, even showing old LSD £-s-p pre-decimalisation tariffs for washing and drying.
Sadly, it closed not long after this picture was taken, the last time I saw the shop it was selling double glazing!

This was my parents' first home in Washington State. Honestly, this photo must be just a pose because I am sure my dad never did the laundry and wouldn't have a clue what the inside of a good washing machine would look like! Apparently it looked okay to my mom- they bought the house.
Another Martin Parr inspired photo. This the the Swisswash coin operated laundry. With more time and planning I could have spent the day photographing this place! Had to limit myself to a few quick iPhone snaps.
The moment has come to face the truth
I'm wide awake, and so are you
Do you have a clue what this is? (I don't know)
Are you everything that I miss? (I don't hope so)
We'll just have to wait and see (Wait, and see)
If things go right we're meant to be
The surface is gone, we scratched it off
We made some plans, and let them go
Do you have the slightest idea (No, I don't)
Why the world is bright with you here? (Oh, is that so?)
Stay a while and wait and see (wait, and see)
If things go right we're meant to be
Oh, what a world this life would be
Forget all your technicolour dreams
Forget
This is how it´s meant to be

"Washdays are sure to be sunny in this colorful laundry. While washer and dryer take over, you can catch up with a favorite TV program or settle down to desk work. Soiled clothing is sorted into hamper baskets to match washer settings."

When we went on vacation earlier this year, my husband and I stopped at a laundromat in Los Angeles to wash some dirty clothes. I thought that this window sign was cute.
