Thanks to Istartedi, I can pretty much say that this is a walnut tree. Pretty cool actually...

This Lovely Little Walnut Orchard was torn out last spring to make room for yet another vineyard.

This example of a tree removal shows the close proximity to the home where branches had fallen at the roofline. The ivy shown growing up the tree trunk is invasive and can compromise the tree's structure.

This was a lovely frosty autumn morning and the leaves were just POURING off these walnut trees.

Nowadays old and aching, the "Abuelo" is a monumental walnut tree whose trunk has a 6 m. diameter.

The legs are made of solid walnut wood.

The frame consists of birch plywood with a phenolic (red, light brown) or a melamine film (white) finish. Maateo may hold different kinds and sizes of table tops– glass tops, wooden tops, acrylic tops.

The Hayton Walnut tree, Walnut Field, Hayton, Cumbria

This tree is about 250 years old, and is the largest ever walnut recorded in Cumbria. It's also in the top ten largest of its species in the UK

Oh to swing in the woodland to hear the birds, the beautiful light filtered by numerous branches and feel the whoosh of air through my hair, these are the things I love.

We have four walnut trees in the field behind our house. I love how, on a nice evening, for just a few minutes, the sun catches this north side of them, where the sun technically shouldn't go at all.

This is an old farmhouse with vibrant yet decaying colors north of Ellerslie, Maryland. At first I thought there were curtains in the left window.

High contrast of the walnut trees lining my back fence against snow and fog in the neighboring pasture.

The annual garden party in aid of the RNLI was regularly held in the beautiful gardens around Ecclesden Manor.

When I was young I climbed trees and breathed air, full of joy and life was fair,

Older now I still climb trees, breathe air and feel the breeze.

Wars have come and gone,

Fashion changes with every season a different flavour,

But... some things last forever

The unconstrained joy of child and tree, a smile in climbing,

the old and new, innocence of nature, branching out to general appreciation.

It really is a nice combination of nature in creation, a moment to smile a moment to savour.

All of the walnut trees along HWY 246 coming into Lompoc have been cut down. Wondering what will replace them.
