Former Walgreen's at 1420 Howard Ave. in Burlingame, CA. This Walgreen's opened in April 1968, sharing a lot with a 1955-build Safeway on the opposite side. It must have been one of the earliest freestanding Walgreen's. This drugstore remained very intact inside and out until closing in 2010. Shortly thereafter it was demolished as part of the Safeway redevelopment project.
Those pendant-hung Lithonia fluorescent fixtures are hallmarks of 1960s Walgreen's.
It isnt as vintage as it looks, the metal scaffolding is old as is the building but it just recently became a Walgreens, it was originally a Firestone store and they replaced the Firestone logo with Walgreens.
This Walgreens opened up in late 2006-early 2007 on the corner of Mathistown Rd and Center St in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey near Mystic Islands. An old woman got in a car crash recently because she was distracted by the LED sign.
Former Walgreens located at 4707 Highway 6 N in Houston,TX. The building is currently occupied by a Family Dollar. In 1996 Walgreens closed this store at which point the building would house a Dollar General until 2001. Following the closure of Dollar General the former drug store was acquired by Family Dollar.
Note Walgreens opened this 11,500 square foot store in 1980.

This store was closed for over a week due to riots and looting. It finally reopened and went back to being open 24 hours. The doors still have not been replaced. You can touch the jagged glass. The door is permanently open all day and night.
Walnut Creek, California
This is not a bad neighborhood. In fact, Walnut Creek is a low crime city, but a crime wave swept through the Oakland, California area and looters drove to the suburbs in cars to ransack the affluent upper middle class suburbs.
For several days it was absolute chaos in the streets as retail stores, supermarkets, and drugstores were looted. Riots broke out after protests. Freeways were shut down by protesters. Convoys of cars filled with looters from distant areas looted city after city. Fires burned down many stores including a Walmart in San Leandro, California. Weeks later, the stores are still boarded up and many stores close early before dark.
Walgreens outparcel at Britton Plaza. The three connected big box stores to the right replaced an older outparcel with a Frank's.
Continuing Walgreens' neurotic desire for new stores, a replacement store is going to be built across the street sometime in early 2010.

I used this for many years to produce slides from negatives. It is still a fun film to work with and very forgiving. It will produce Redscale results without shooting through the base. Tungsten balanced emulsion. You can have great fun with this stuff. If you can find any , grab a empty or sacrifice roll of C41 film and cut it off at the end with say two inches remaining. Splice the 5072 onto the roll and go out and shoot at asa 12 with no filter. Or asa 6 with an 80a or 80b filter. Then drop it off at the local mart or walgreens or other mass merchant photoprocessor. The film will do absolutely no damage to the chemicals. It will however come out as a wacky colored positive film ready to scan or project.
While I was picking the Wet & Wild, I also got the Milani baked e/s single. They look quite interesting - they are baked eyeshadow marble. I got the darkest shades, Melange and Mix It Up.

This location was built and opened in 2009 and closed in summer 2014.
350 5th Ave; Walgreens' flagship store in the Manhattan area, taking up two floors on one corner of the Empire State Building. Has entrances on the first floor outside and into the lobby, and a mall-style entrance on the second floor that's right at the end of the building tour. Is laid out like a smaller version of the Philly flagship store, with snacks and drinks on the first floor and the pharmacy and cosmetics on the second.

Former site of Majestic Pontiac and Honda Dealership. Also next to the dealership was the Holiday Bowl. The dealership was located on Crenshaw at 37th Street. Both sites closed within the last few years. The land was sold and turned into a shopping center. The Shopping center includes: Walgreens Drug Store, Big Sporting Goods, Goodwill Store, Dennys Restaurant and other misc. Shops. Also included is a Starbucks, which took over a portion of the original coffee shop that was part of Holiday Bowl. Initially when the Holiday Bowling Alley closed, the community attempted to save the site, but in the end failed and only a tiny fragment was saved. The only other item that was retained was the parking lot sign seen in the picture incorporating the original Poniac Symbol for the Majestic Poniac Dealership. One of xx photos of this site in Los Angeles, California. The Dennys is located on part of what was originally Majestic's Outdoor Showroom of cars.
