This impressive Buck must have been resting in the shade under the boardwalk at Dixon Meadows. I heard something stirring underneath me, I was really surprised when this guy squeezed out. He stared me down for a minute or more but when I moved a little to try avoid the back lighting he took off in a hurry.

I made a wise choice in lodging in Flagstaff, AZ that would not upset my wife, making sure it was not along Route 66 with the noise of passing trains all night.
