Sunrise comes early in June. Looking out my back deck at Hansville, WA

SLSF 1630 sits steamed up next to the IRM's sanding tower, in preparation to take over the coach train after the SD70ACe-T4.

I shot this with my Canon EOS Rebel T2 and 28-90mm lens on a roll of Ilford HP5 Plus film.

On the morning of May 30th, 2021, I got to take part in a Hostling tour of locomotive 611 at the Strasburg Railroad. This gave us a bit of an inside look at the morning start-up routine of the locomotive for the day's work. With such a tour, there were only about 20 of us, which makes it nice for kinda having the locomotive to yourself so-to-speak. I learned a good bit from this experience, and feel I had the opportunity to get some good shots as well. Like or hate high-contrast images.....I personally love how this turned out. It's just too bad that pictures don't convey the sounds and smells of this beauty.

Back to experimenting with self portraits. Some lovely wilting roses and natural light. Shot with my 50mm.

Since it's summer, and I have no job and nothing really to do (*sigh*), I decided to pull an all-nighter and head over to Hoboken to catch the sunrise. I took a bunch of photos, and I'm sure you'll see more of them in the future.

I chose this photo today because I've been wanting to try to do a HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo for a long time. Well, this is my first real semi-successful attempt.

I love the clouds in the photo, and if you kinda look closely, you can still see some details in the building :x I just wish that the sun was rising directly behind the buildings.

B is for breakfast.

A morning from Brasil.

Nothing but wonderful days.

this is my favorite from the amazing sunrise in Byron Bay, Australia.

The colors are just incredible and the shimmering of the water with the seaguls on this one really standout along witht the backdrop of the clouds, mountainside and the lighthouse.

This was taken with a Nikon 135mm f/2 "defocus" lens, attached via an adapter to my Samsung camera. I don't pull out this lens much these days, but a sunny Fall day is great for it.

Wint-Its a four letter word. (For those of you who are not Anglos, a four letter word is a bad word. lol) Wint, it sucks the life out of you. Wint, it sucks the colour out of the world. "WINT!!! What is it good for? A-a-a-bsolutely nuthin'." (Apologies to Edwin Starr.)

This week a bit over zero temperature and sunny, so the small tortoiseshells (Aglais urticae) Nässelfjärilar - have been sunbathing and trying out their wings after the long winter in my attic.

Taken during our last meet

I have taken this pic out of my window... It was early morning I saw this bird sitting on the tree and chirping... It's always good to be surrounded by beautiful nature. Isn't it? I reckon UK is one of that kind. Then it's shooting time, I shot this image.

TBH this isn't the original image I have modified the Colour Vibration and darkness to this image which gave me this beautiful picture. Keep trying with the options - is what I would say!!! Just play around...
