We had a great time at the Plano Balloon Festival, Inc. last night! The balloon glow was phenomenal and the fireworks went off right over us, we lay down on the grass and watched it. It was THE.MOST.INCREDIBLE fireworks show we have ever seen!! I almost left my camera home, I would have been so disappointed if I had!!

Earlier this year, I started getting back into photography and as I stay next to the coast I started taking some shipping photographs. This is, by far, my favourite non-military shipping image as the morning light was just right and the stunning, mountainous backdrop is lit in the right way (in other words it's obviously there, but doesn't detract from the main focus). I honestly think that the backdrop adds so much to the image.
Anyway, the ship is Ina Theresa (a chemical or oil tanker) and is heading past Cloch Point in Gourock.

Doi Mae Salong, Chiang Rai, Thailand
This is a relatively new temple built on the hilltop of Doi Mae Salong in the northern part of Chiang Rai Province. The architecture is beautiful and quite contemporary in design whilst still retaining many traditional features. It is surrounded by well kept gardens and commands wide views across the northern province and also over the mountains into neighbouring Myanmar.
Took a few pictures (nothing special) to show the awesomeness of this lenses optics. Taken on my XT10. Theses look … well please let me know. I will be taking shots on my XT3 (witch had a higher megapixel count and sensor for comparison.
