In 1895 the first 15 white beach huts were built on the beach, by Løkken Beach Hotel. Today you will find almost 500 of the white beach huts, and they have become an icon of the town and the wide sandy beaches on the west coast. The beach huts are private and have been passed down through generations. Should you want a beach hut of your own, you must be patient, as it can take many years for one to be available. Drive your car on the beach next to the beach huts for a perfect beach experience in North Jutland.
The Beach huts can be found on Løkken and Blokhus beach from May to October. They are always placed in the same spot, year after year, as the owner of the house, owns the right to the piece of ground it sits on. The primitive beach huts have strict rules, no electricity, no running water, and only 9 square meters, no more than that. the beach huts must have a black roof, and be newly painted for every season - in white of course.

Handheld street photography with a 10mm lens is a real challenge. So it is only an attempt in the genre street with my favorite Voigtlaender hyper wide lens.
Therefore every comment and criticism is very much appreciated.
A special thanks to
for the inspiration for the title.

Such strength and character.
I wish cars today had such personality and artisticness.

This photo is a combination of recent and long ago. The foreground panorama was taken about 4 years ago in the blue hour before sunrise. The sky panorama is a composite of 16 photos (to reduce noise and to make the panorama) taken in April of 2021 at the Grand Canyon. I think that the Milky Way is in about the right relationship to the cars. I'm not sure why I didn't try to take Milky Way photos when I was there 4 years ago except that I don't think I had yet figured out how to successfully do Milky Way photos. This part of Nebraska has exceptionally dark skies but unfortunately town is just a couple miles south of Carhenge and the lights of Alliance would probably completely obscure the Milky Way.
Both the Milky Way Photos and the overall composite were put together in Photoshop. The foreground panorama was done in Lightroom.
This is another one of Croydon's car parks. The view here is from outside and behind the structure looking at the circular ramps that vehicles use to access the various levels of the car park.
A series of images shot during Christmas time in the seaside town of Seaton Carew, northeast England. Usually bustling during the festive period despite bad weather, Covid-19 Coronavirus lockdown turned it into a bit of a ghost town.
