Our co-founder Zoe visited the impressive ruins of this 12th Century abbey.

Villers Abbey was founded by monks of the Cistercian order back in 1146.

Fast forward almost 1,000 years, Villers Abbey is now home to impressive ruins, stunning gardens and even a microbrewery!

Attempt to visualize waves and their reflections yielding an echo. I created this effect using a long time exposure while simultaneously changing the focal length.

Our co-founder Joris visited a 14th-century castle nestled into the Warche Valley - Reinhardstein Castle is open for tours and is a great sight to see on local hikes.

Once owned by a local lord and nobility, Reinhardstein Castle was saved from demolition by a professor and a team of volunteers and local crafters back in the groovy 1970s. These days, the castle is fully rebuilt and, as you can see, in excellent shape.

The museum Oud Amelisweerd is housed in an old mansion. Many rooms are directly connected by doors.

For a short period the museum hosted art of the Dutch artist Armando.

Looking down the side of the building at night catching the reflection of the building opposite. not done in photoshop, slight edits in lightroom.

One of the seldom days it seems that pollution didn't take over the sky around the east coast area in mainland China. Decided at around 5 in the afternoon to go for this sunset shoot, especially since living for so many years in Shanghai I really don't even have one nice shot of the somewhat iconic skyline, I really wanted to try my luck at the bund again today. Unfortunately the shot I did using the 10-stop filter was started a bit too late and I didn't anticipate the light to change so quickly, so my best shot of the evening was actually underexposed by 2.5 stops! Anyway, this was my second choice, just uploading here to comfort myself, will have to go back and try again sometime this summer.

This image was taken after a snowstorm in a golf course by a drone . Over 200 feet the trail in golf course looks like a tree with some leaves or flowers on its branches. Those leaves or flowers are actually real trees. It was not easy to find this composition in the air. I spent almost 1 hr and 2 batteries and finally get this image done.

The weeks are blurring together... my days largely consist of day dreaming about golden light like this 😌

Melbourne, Australia

I've shot this before, but I liked the clouds and lighting today.

Fujifilm X-E3 + Zonlai 22mm f/1.8

SOOC JPEG-colours. Classic chrome film simulation. Shot wide open at f/1.8. Did some retouching using the mobile app "Retouch". Frame lines and cropping with Snapseed.

This is the interior view of a small greenhouse, I discovered in Brooklyn, New York. The incoming sunlight made the tainted glasswork shine like a lantern. I was lying on the ground looking up, and watching through a wide angle lens I experienced the greenhouse like being in a translucent cathedral. I particularly loved all the details: the coloured squares and rectangles, being mixed with plant elements and shadows. Architectural design by Tom Fruin.

The Rabelo boat is a traditional Portuguese cargo boat that for centuries was used to transport people and goods along the Douro river.

Went out to see some trains. In post-processing, I accidently ended up having haunting, yet refreshing colors. Together with light trails, the picture has weird appeal to me. Hopefully you also enjoy this ghastly take on Pasila, Tripla

It was freezing cold, but so worth it!

Bought a snappy compact camera after my last debacle lasting 4 days and taking 6 technicians to sort out my iPhone uploads. Jonathan sent for a card reader and a large capacity SD card for use on holiday when I have no WiFi but enjoy processing a few pics in the evening. My iPad Pro is capable of doing a bit of post work without mobile data or WiFi..

I could no more not check out its bokeh capabilities this afternoon than stop breathing lol…had a quick go using my electric stainless steel kettle and a jug of water next to my sink for some highlights and was very pleased with the results - but like I say I intend to use it just jpeg and it’s a fixed lens of 35mm equivalent for those quick shots I don’t like to miss and would normally use my iPhone. Light and small and uploads instantly to my iPad…really pleased with my new toy :)

Ps A big thank you to Richard Krawiec who gave me the idea of uploading my SD card straight to IPad
