Wandering around the construction works that form part of the Westgate tunnel and extension in Melbourne. One of several construction projects happening around the greater metropolitan area right now.

One of several projects, that explore photography as evidence amongst other ideas.

Murdoch’s Connection is named after the city’s first female GP, Dr Mary Murdoch. The name was put forward by students from a local girls school in an essay competition and then put to a public vote with other candidates. The bridge links the city centre to the marina, waterfront and fruit market. It crosses the A63 dual carriageway, allowing pedestrians and cyclists to safely cross the road, and will also ease congestion.

I was so thrilled to be able to see these at last. Near Falkirk, over 30 metres high and stunning.

M.J.Holmes cottage. Built in 1899, for the Commanding Officer of the Quarantine Station's residence. In 1951 it became the the main building for the new Quarantine Station, when the original station was taken over by the Australian Army for the Officer Cadet School. A new Hospital and Nurses quarters were built in 1970. It operated until it was shut down, and transfered to Melbourne in 1985. This building then became the residence for the Commanding Officer of The Army School of Health, which took over from the OCS.

I was looking for landscapes in a red lake in Ecuador, but as unexpected as life is I ended up finding a beautiful leaf with water droplets something that is very rare to see in that place.

WE'RE TWO SHIPS THAT PASS IN THE NIGHT

Ships

Ian Hunter · 1979 Songwriter

Barry Manilow preformed:

We walked to the sea, just my father and me

And the dogs played around on the sand

Winter cold cut the air, hangin' still everywhere

Dressed in gray, did he say, "Hold my hand"

I said, "Love's easier when it's far away"

We sat and watched a distant light

We're two ships that pass in the night

We both smile and we say, "It's alright"

We're still here, it's just that we're out of sight

Like those ships that pass in the night

There's a boat on the line where the sea meets the sky

There's another that rides far behind

And it seems you and I are like strangers a wide ways apart

As we drift on through time

He said, "It's harder now we're far away"

We only read you when you write

We're two ships that pass in the night

And we smile when we say it's alright

We're…

A monochrome photo of San Miguel de Lillo, a Roman Catholic church built on the Naranco mount in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the church was completed in 842 and it was consecrated by Ramiro I of Asturias in the year 848.

Geologic time is so vast: it likely took hundreds of thousands of years (or more) for these stones to be formed with rings and smoothed by water! They are from the seacoast of Maine in USA.

The new viewing tower at Brighton

Last year I wanted to photograph river structures at this location, but the road was still closed due to the thaw. This year it was my turn later in the year and it finally worked. Fortunately, the pictures I had in mind were taken because the road is in a terrible state and I don't want to have to drive it again

The 400 block of Liberty Street in Philadelphia's Independence National Historical Park is paved with these river stones, correctly called "cobblestones".

Cobblestone roads were constructed beginning in the 1830s.

Very little is left in 2021, mostly as an historical attraction.

The Buzludzha monument (Бузлуджа), located on a remote peak in the Balkan Mountains, is one of the most impressive communist era monuments in the country. Opened in 1981, it was built to commemorate the foundation of the Bulgarian Communist Party, which took place at this spot in 1891.

After the fall of the iron curtain and the political change in Bulgaria, it was abandoned. The metal roof was destroyed by looters and the building is decaying more and more.

I was just about to leave when I noticed wafts of mist creeping in through the broken ceiling - the building was immersed in a cloud. I knew I had very little time before it would be completely foggy inside, so I quickly set up my camera again and was able to capture this panorama.

A few minutes later I wasn't able to see the opposite wall anymore.

These two houses perfectly compliment each other with their contrasting brickwork and lights.

The world is full of beauty, even in the dark, it shines the light…

In the past winter, went to Niagara Falls in the early morning many times (drove in the dark for one hour and 40 minutes one way)... I posted similar one which was taken a week later. You can see the difference between one week, snow began to melt in one week. This one was fully covered with snow, like a fairy tales world. But it was freezing cold in the early morning. 😉
