The right place is where you stop wondering what time it is
It is the place where you stop controlling everything, being rational and let yourself go, following your instinct and your desire to get involved. It can be at home, in the arms of your loved one or on some exotic beach, the place "where time does not exist" is the right one
I call this place the landing or "standing on the breach." Here in this quiet cove where the tidal waters rise and fall I can see a wide variety of birds. And every time I visit I see eagles. This one flew behind me then towards his favorite perch. Zoom if you wish:)
Hoping all is well - many thanks for your comments on my sparrow images!!

PIEDMONT-ITALY (Where is the water? In normal times this photo would have been impossible to take, because in March this torrent is full of water that flows whirling, (I'm in the center of the river bed) usually these situations are occur in midsummer.
These are real problems that must be addressed as soon as possible, instead in Europe there is a madman to be tied up, who thinks of waging war to satisfy his sick ego.)

I just couldn't bring myself to tell this Short-eared Owl that he is only Crow sized. So glad that he thinks big!
In the South of Iceland, there were so many stunning things in short distances that we really felt like we were rushing from one sight to the next. Having just arrived in this amazing country, we were simply overwhelmed by the vastness, the volcano, the lava fields, the mossy rocks and all the amazing waterfalls. However, it was difficult to enjoy the latter as almost every location was crowded with tourists. I would have loved to visit every location at sunrise, but our schedule was pretty tight and so we tried our best to at least visit every location.
After we left Seljalandsfoss, I will never forget the moment we took a long left turn and the mountains in the distance moved aside revealing a massive waterfall: Skógafoss. It was simply huge and as we got closer to it, its enormous size became even more apparent. I was really hoping to get one of the classic shots, but it was just impossible to take images without people in it. Therefore, I tried to focus on more intimate compositions and as luck would have it, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, creating this beautiful rainbow in the spray of this giant.
In retrospect, I kind of regret not having at least tried to take one of the classic shots from further away, but I also really like how this image turned out and it is something different, something I haven’t seen a hundred times. I hope you like it too!

The title is a reference to a photo of one of my favorite photographers, Michael Kenna. Check out the first comment for a glimpse at the photo I am referring to. If you want to learn more about him and his work, check out this interesting article.

A closer look at the "Where Lines Converge" art installation by artist Nell Breyer. It looks amazing and beautiful in person but not the easiest to capture using available light, dealing with distance and shooting hand held.
During its first summer under its new operating plan, the Reading & Northern's NRFF has become a fan favorite for those of us in the Mid-Atlantic region. The afternoon trip north on the Lehigh Line allows opportunities to shoot from the Lehigh Gorge up to Pittston in decent summer light most days on a stretch of railroad where daylight train traffic has become scarce. On my trip up to New England this past week, I timed my departure accordingly so that I could intercept the NRFF around White Haven, and followed them north for a few shots. When I was here last month I was not successful at getting full sun at Solomons Gap, but was rewarded with a sunlit appearance here as they passed the ex-CNJ signals at the top of Penobscot Mountain.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. It's a HFF (Happy Fence Friday) day! I just loved the way this chap was leaning against the railing which I was able to frame perfectly for once. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend my Flickr friends, enjoy!
