Jure Robic, the leading rider in the Race Across America will be passing through Richmond, Indiana after having ridden more or less non-stop from Oceanside, California.

In few minutes I'm going to leave to see if I find him on the road and give him a proper welcome to the area.

This series are photographs taken from my garden, other people's gardens, nature strips, reserves, parks and anywhere really. The aim is to photograph mostly Australian Native animals but other beautiful animals may find their way into the mix over time.

These Welcome Swallows were photographed on a pedestrian bridge near my home in Como, NSW.

The reason they are linked to my Pinch River profile is because they will inevitably feed into my work at some stage in some way or another, but for now can just be enjoyed as images of beautiful fauna that captured my attention and inspired my creativity.

STEM Welcome Week, Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 on Chamberlain Field.

I've driven past this probably over a hundred times. For the last 40 or so times, I had wanted to take a picture of it, but never had my camera with me, or didn't have the nerve to pull off of the road to take this shot.

Today, I had my camera sitting right beside me so I figured that I'd be brave and pull into the empty (possibly abandoned?) lot across the street from this factory to get the picture. This was taken from inside of my car, with me holding the camera out of my window.

Welcome Stitchery in Crystal Lake. Oh, baby.

I think the lady who owns the place is getting a little more comfortable with me. She asked me what I was making with all the reds, oranges and yellows I bought today.

Her: "Are you making an Autumn sampler?"

Me: "Yes. Yes I am."

Because it's too hard to explain. And I need the floss.

The 1,500-square-foot mural in the parking lot on Free Street behind the Asylum nightclub was completed in 2011. Eight artists, led by defect curator Mike Rich, painted the big, bold block letters spelling P-O-R-T-L-A-N-D, each with there own style. A rocky coast sits below the letters and an orange-yellow sky radiating from the iconic Portland Head lighthouse atop—with an aerosol can standing in for the limestone tower and two rays of white enveloping the words "Greetings From"…

Welcome Lady Statue 3ft

Materials: This Apsara statue is made of brown sandstone (Pujarini). The stone variety is well-known in Odisha. We have created the statue with perfect detailing and minute carvings which makes the piece a masterpiece.

The woman in this statue is a representation of a woman craftsperson who dedicated her life to worshipping and serving a deity or a temple. In a Pottukattu belief that was somewhat comparable to a wedding celebration, the engagement took place.
