I spent the night here after I smashed my rental car into a cow.

Hey everyone! I hope the month of March will hold many wonderful moments for you...and hopefully, those of you in colder areas can get some warmer, sunny days to kick off Spring!

After work this afternoon I hurried over to Fairhope to try to share some of the tulips with you...not the best lighting in late afternoon, but I hope the weekend stays clear for another try earlier in the day...

Have a terrific, safe, fun weekend, ya'll!

Off topic, but I had to scrap these! It was such a fun day!

Does it feel like arrival because of the emergence from darkness into light? Because of the change of level? Or just because there are things here to arrive to?

What makes this freeway overpass different from so many other soul-sucking freeway overpasses?

Esmekall was the IT doll that got me into loving Blythe dolls and of Natt's StableCustomHouse.

I remember creating snapshots of all her photos and of Natt's beautiful customs just to keep

in my desktop folders.

One day Gaby (cocopoodle05) sent me an email letting me know Esmekall will be traveling.

For some reason I put it off and she sat there waiting in her Kingdom like an unwanted child.

Oh... but I kept an eye on her from afar. I even asked if she was still around, and yes, waiting....

Recently she was up again asking to leave her Kingdom and this time I felt she may

never be mine if I don't claim her.

I have a special bond with Esmekall, not only she was my very first favorite Blythe custom,

but through Flickr contact I also met a new friend who lives in Indonesia, the country where I came from. So that said, I believe Esmekall was destined to live with me now.

You have traveled far dear Esmekall, from Thailand to Indonesia, now to S.California.

Thank you Gaby and Natt for this beautiful doll!

Pretty handsome for an alien, don't ya think?

After Betsy passed away we knew that eventually we had a empty bed to fill in our little home. Of course there still is some grief left but we thought the time was there to go and visit some adoptable cats. We thought we'd just go and take a look at what's out there.

This saturday we went to a organisation called Wetland Cats in Gouderak near Gouda. This organisation houses around 260 cats that where abandoned, impopular at the shelter, almost put to sleep for no reason by their previous owners or just regular stray cats. Some of these cats are semi-wild or even agressive to humans and therefore not up for adoption.

Another thing that they do at this wonderful place is offering another organisation temporary housing for stray cats from Romania. These cats get rescued from certain death on the streets of Romania and then nutured, chipped and vaccinated before they travel to Wetland Cats. There they are put up for adoption.

Once we where in the shelter for the Romanian cats our attention was drawn by a little black cat. She was really petit and purring as loud as she could. once my girlfriend picked her up she started te pur even louder and climbed on her shoulders to give little licks and other signs of affection. Needless to say my girlfriend was sold. With Betsy really being my girls cat is was more important that the cat liked her then me. But she is also very, very friendly to me too.

She is just one year old (Born 03-03-2017, estimated) and really petit. Because of her gentle and soft character we decided to go with Flanelleke as her name. This because the fabric flanel also is very soft and warming. Her official name however is Komo Flanel, a hint to Coco Chanel as well as to her previous life on the streets with Komo being a well known brand of black plastic trash bags.

Whe we came home she immediatly came out of the travel basket, leaving Chupa and Tickel a bit puzzled over who this little gal was. But she has great cat manners and even after just 46 hours I think it is safe to say thet she fits right in. They even played together yesterday evening!

Cute as.....

We also have another nest at the other end of the house and at times it seems as though there is some rivalry between the two groups. Welcome Swallows flying around everywhere. What a wonderful place to live. :-)

This series are photographs taken from my garden, other people's gardens, nature strips, reserves, parks and anywhere really. The aim is to photograph mostly Australian Native animals but other beautiful animals may find their way into the mix over time.

These Welcome Swallows were photographed on a pedestrian bridge near my home in Como, NSW.

The reason they are linked to my Pinch River profile is because they will inevitably feed into my work at some stage in some way or another, but for now can just be enjoyed as images of beautiful fauna that captured my attention and inspired my creativity.

Uyuni is a Bolivian town in the middle of nowhere on the edge of nothing... It is located high up in the Andes - 3669 meters up according to the sign the largest claim to fame is that it is the principal gateway to the massive salt desert bearing its name nearby. There are a few different ways of getting to the city - one of these is by train and this is whats greets you at the train-station should you choose to do so.

You can look at other photos from Bolivia in my Bolivia set.

You could watch this Large On Black since that brings out more details. My pictures aren't balanced for a white background and a lot of the finer details are lost in this small format. the large version is a sixth of the original - The medium size shown here even smaller...
