This image is of a landmark sighting for me. It is the first tiger that I've managed to sight in the wild in twenty years of visiting jungles all over India. I actually stopped prioritizing tiger spotting many years ago. I knew it would eventually happen on it's own, and it finally did. Not a close encounter, but a good start nonetheless.

The Culture is a small and pretty hostel in the middle of Old Manali village. The place is kept squeaky clean and provides low price bunks for backpacking travelers. It is an especially popular halt for trekkers from all over the world. The common area on the rooftop is a great place to find new and interesting friends, and provides some excellent views of the mountain ranges around Manali.
Eindelijk september. Maand van het WK Wielrennen! Met nog minder dan 3 weken te gaan, kijken we alvast reikhalzend uit naar het grootste wielerfeest dat Knokke-Heist heeft gekend. Jij toch ook? Maar zo’n groot evenement brengt natuurlijk altijd wat hinder met zich mee. Dus is het zaak om in de periode van 18 t.e.m. 22 september goed voorbereid op pad te gaan! Wij raden alvast sterk aan om beroep te doen op het openbaar vervoer (tram en trein) of je te voet of met de fiets te verplaatsen. Bovendien is het ook van 16 tot 22 september week van de mobiliteit. Reden te meer dus om je auto achterwege te laten.
Ga je toch met de wagen op pad? Gebruik dan zeker de routeplanner. Je kan er eenvoudig je vertrekpunt (bijv. Knokke Centrum, Heist, Duinbergen … ) en je bestemming (bijv. Brugge, Damme, Sluis … ) ingeven. Vergeet echter niet dat Brugge mede-gaststad is en je dus ook daar hinder kan ervaren. Heb je meer vragen over het WK Wielrennen?
