Tre dipinti intitolati "Siesta" (olio su tela 30x50 cm)

SOLD collezione privata

Here’s an atmospheric slice of southwestern Minnesota. I wanted to capture the heavy, moody energy of the plains, so I deepened the color palette and pulled up the highlights along the roadside grass to guide the eye. To give the storm clouds and tree line a softer, painterly feel, I added a touch of highlight bloom and finished the processing with a subtle overall softening.

"I Went"

I didn't restrain myself. I gave in completely and went,

went to those pleasures that were half real,

half wrought by my own mind,

went into the brilliant night

and drank strong wine,

the way the champions of pleasure drink.

I tuoi occhi, languidamente, mi dicono: "Se vuoi,

Dall'ombelico alle natiche;

Troverai, su due bei seni pesanti,

Due larghe medaglie di bronzo,

E sotto un ventre liscio, dolce come velluto,

Bistrato come la pelle di un bonzo,

Un vello ricco che, davvero, è fratello

Di questa abbondante capigliatura,

Soffice e riccia, e che ti uguaglia in spessore,

Notte senza stelle, Notte oscura!"

We grow accustomed to the Dark —

When Light is put away —

As when the Neighbor holds the Lamp

To witness her Good bye —

A Moment — We Uncertain step

For newness of the night —

Then — fit our Vision to the Dark —

And meet the Road — erect —

And so of larger — Darknesses —

Those Evenings of the Brain —

When not a Moon disclose a sign —

Or Star — come out — within —

The Bravest — grope a little —

And sometimes hit a Tree

Directly in the Forehead —

But as they learn to see —

Either the Darkness alters —

Or something in the sight

Adjusts itself to Midnight —

And Life steps almost straight.

Oddesund north of Struer, Denmark - December 26, 2021.

Morning comes slowly to Semangar.

The first light doesn’t shout—it whispers. It glides over the hills, brushing the treetops, pulling soft curtains of mist across the fields. In this quiet place, time feels older, slower, as if the world remembers how to breathe.

Years ago, these fields were filled with the sounds of bare feet on dew-soaked grass, the rustle of coconut palms, and the hum of morning life. Children laughed here. Elders sat beneath the trees, trading stories for silence.

Nothing grand happened. And that’s the beauty of it.

These were the mornings that shaped us—not through drama, but through stillness.

A place where the land taught us to listen.

Even now, as the light melts into golden haze, the memory lingers.

It’s in the way the hills hold their shape like old guardians.

It’s in the silence that speaks more than words.

This is not just a landscape.

This is a chapter—a soft one, worn by time but never forgotten.

Beneath the golden haze, peace is not just felt—it is remembered.

At the break of dawn in Khor Kalba, the world whispers in hues of silence. A lone boat, weary yet dignified, rests upon the shore—its silhouette etched against a canvas of melting amber and rose. The still waters mirror the sky’s tender glow, merging earth and heavens in tranquil harmony. This quiet interlude, before the world stirs, holds a timeless poetry—where solitude and serenity meet in gentle embrace.

As I stood behind the lens, immersed in stillness, I felt an overwhelming calm—the kind only such moments of nature can gift.

Attraverso decontestualizzazione e ironia, spazi urbani e oggetti comuni diventano trasformati e sfocati, evocando meraviglia o inquietudine.

No chain can hold their flight.

They cross the darkest valleys, seeking light.

No wall can silence what the soul has known,

For every dream is still its own.

The wind may change, the world may disagree Yet every heart remembers...

thoughts are free.

When silence learns my name again,

and the world forgets to rush.

light bends softly through my thoughts,

and even time lowers its voice.

Nothing is demanded of me then

not answers, not direction

only presence… and I remain.

Captured at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, this frame freezes a bee mid-flight, moments before touching a delicate white bloom. Soft light, shallow depth, and gentle motion convey nature’s quiet precision—pollination as poetry—where patience, balance, and timing briefly align in a single, fleeting instant within the garden’s living seasonal rhythm.
