a silent moment on the edge of somewhere—where a child and a column of steel pause beneath airport light, caught in the geometry of departure. the space between is where imagination blooms.

Seen on an evening walk to and from the area around the Black Bascule Light and the White Lighthouse.

Vejrumstad near Struer, Denmark - January 19, 2021.
Alas, not much traffic/people around on this foggy evening during the lock-down (with nature's own black pro mist filter) ...
marvellous architecture by brilliant Gottfried Böhm [lith print on Foton fotobrom paper executed April 2020. Photo taken with modified Agfa Clack in 2014]
From a week's family vacation in a rented house in Skagen, Denmark - March 31, 2021.
The photo is taken at the beach south of the town.
when a mural watches you run, do you flee from reality — or towards the edge of the dream? caught between lashes and motion, this fleeting figure bursts through a painted gaze. all contrast, all tension.
The sun rises like a vow—low, deliberate, and golden.
Its light spills across snowbound streets,
where boats rest on trailers and houses wear memory in color.
A quiet ignition of resilience,
marking the year’s third breath with frost and flame.
a fleeting rider emerges from darkness, bisected by a golden blade of light, his shadow thrown ahead like memory running faster than the present. the tires spin silently, echoing the pulse of the street. in this moment, time folds — and light becomes the only witness.
From a short walk on Christmas Day in the Kærgaardsmølle area near Struer, Denmark - December 25, 2019.
a child stands alone on the stairs, quietly holding the rail. the line of light above cuts through the space like a thought — clear, silent, and pointed directly at her.
there is no urgency. only form. only stillness.
this is how presence begins:
not with action, but with a line and a pause.
Shot on a short sunset trip on a rather windy (and quite cold) night at Toftum north of Struer, Denmark - March 07, 2021.
the girl stands alone on the dark hill, small against the vast sky. the clouds twist like unseen hands, reaching down, shaping something unknown. a single contrail cuts through the silence. to the right, the building stands, cold and distant, its steps leading somewhere unseen. does she belong here, or is she just passing through?
Sunny and somewhat foggy/misty winter morning walk around the village where I live - Vejrumstad, Denmark - January 26, 2019.
The path remembers the weight of those who walk with purpose.

in the city’s golden hour, the glass becomes a storyteller. valentino’s display gleams with opulence, yet it’s the passing shadow, a transient step frozen in time, that steals the narrative. light dances, reflections blur, and for a moment, luxury and life converge. this is the poetry of a window—holding stillness and movement in its fragile frame.
in the late afternoon, as the sun began its descent, its remnants slipped through the narrow corridors of la rambla. the shadows stretched long, swallowing the street, while the light poured like liquid gold, illuminating her fleeting step across the crosswalk. she moved through the moment as if it were hers alone, her hair catching fire in the glow, her form framed by walls that stood as silent witnesses. the poster of the conga player seemed to watch her too, locked in its own rhythm, as the fleeting light clung to the day’s final hours. it was a stage of light and shadow, where time felt suspended, and the ordinary became art.

he doesn’t move. the ocean, the breeze, the sailboats — none of it touches him. bent over a glowing screen, with his face in shadow and light behind him, he becomes the emblem of now. he sits like punctuation at the edge of the frame: a full stop at the end of the day, waiting for something that won't return.
