Through my work I explore how I can use the principles of ‘Design for Disassembly’ to both challenge the life span of textile products and to create a visual design language. I create pattern through the construction of a product.

"Packs" is a system of base components assembled to build an evolving range of functional, 3D check patterns--or packs. These products can be disassembled, reassembled and combined for travel use.

Label reads: "Not far from where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet at the southern tip of Africa, wine farmers skilled by fourteen generations of experience in the making of fine wines are today utilising a unique grape variety developed from the age-old Cape Hermitage (Cinsault) and the well-known Pinot Noir. Appropriately, this variety has been called Pinotage. The pinotage grape variety yields a full0bodied wine with a distinctive bouquet. Maturation takes place in large oak vats quietly resting in our cellars in Paarl and the wine is only bottled when its inherent qualities are clearly revealed. This unique South African wine is deep garnet red in colour; it is dry and robust in flavour and the perfect companion to hearty red meats, game, duck, goose, spaghetti or cheese. Serve at room temperature or a few degrees below. If possible, open an hour or more before serving to allow the wine to "breathe". Pleasant are allowed to remain on the vines until they become very ripe. After fermentation this wine was then matuered in 4,500 litre and 14,000 litre oak casks until bottled in February 1977. it has a distinctive fruity aroma, luscious rich flavour and excellent balance.
