This wine is the third I have made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes at my Redbank Winery It has been bottled in magnums of which there are only 4,000 The wine has the characteristic deep ruby colour for which my wines have become renowed Its bouquet is a balanced combination of grape variety district and careful maturation in French oak puncheons and on the palate there is a significant depth of flavour which is in complete harmony with the intense fruit character Isuggest you hold this wine for at least five years after which time you will have a classic Redman dry red In the event of a natural crust developing decant with care before serving Owen Redman Redbank Winery Coonawarra March 1974"

Label reads:" The 1979 Vintage has produced white wines of exceptional quality. The wines are full soft styles with good fruit and soft acid balance. This wine was made from late picked Semillon grapes. The juice was fermented with minimum refrigeration in the old German Oak puncheons. The strong full flavour of the ripe semillon has been lifted and made more complex by the small Oak treatment. I feel this wine will take 18months to come together and after that will develop into a full rich Burgundy style. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker"

Tyrrell Winemaker. The 1975 vintage in the Hunter Valley has produced Red wines of outstanding quality similar to those of the now classic 1965 vintage. This wine was made from Hermitage grapes grown on the four acre vineyard and was picked late in vintage. The four acres is now our oldest producing vineyard block. This is a big old Hunter style with deep purple colour and showing full fruit character both on the nose and palate. A small portion of this wine was matured in new Oak casks and the remainder in old French Oak which has added complexity to both the nose and palate. Label reads:" 1981 EDEN VALLEY RHINE RIESLING This wine typifiies the philosophy of Krondorf Winemakers Grant Burge and Ian Wilson which is to produce high quality table wines exhibiting distinct area and varietal Characteristics Each year only the highest quality Rhine Riesling grapes from the Eden Valley area are selected to produce this wine. The high altitude of the Eden district ensures cooler ripening conditions giving wines of elegance and finesse. Using controlled temperature techniques the winemakers were careful to capture maxium flavour and aroma from the grape variety. The wine was bottled in July 1981 and has been held in the cool Krondorf Cellars allowing it to settle and mature prior to release It shows elegance of style typical of the Eden Valley region and will continue to improve with further bottle maturation for two to three years.
