My dream car - a '69 Mach 1 Mustang. Yummy.

I know this is a couple days late for my Divas and Dreams Workshop, Assignment 1. I figure better late than never...

- What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you look at your board? I tend to be inspired by a variety of subjects, specific tones, and ruff edges. haha:)

- Which colors are repeated? washed out earth tones to jewel tones. More specifically, I notice the greens.

- What are the main subjects of your pictures? Are you focused on people, animals, food or something else? An eclectic mix of fashion, people, and objects.

- What style is mostly represented? Is it modern, vintage, high fashion, organic, cottage, shabby chic or maybe even futuristic? An eclectic mix of vintage, high fashion, and even a bit rustic.

- What emotions or atmosphere is portrayed by your board? Is it happy, comedic, romantic or moody? Romantic, whimsical, dreamy, imaginative.

- Are your color tones warm or cold? I think a bit on the warmer side, but I'm uncertain whether the greens and blues fall into the cool spectrum?

En mi espacio de trabajo nunca faltan mis yorkies. Ahora mismo estoy decorando las paredes con algunas pinturas que haré yo misma.

I'm sharing my vision board which is my ongoing reminder of what I wish to accomplish.

I think everyone is familiar with the concept of vision boards. This is ours... And it did work for us! Everyone aspect within our vision board has improved.

I recommend everyone who has defined goals and dreams to make such a vision board and spend some time every day visualizing their goals. I am sure it will also work for you!

Good grief...!!! This reminds me of the walls of my room growing up. We weren't allowed to put posters up, but I won a B&W poster of Tarzan at the State Fair and it was all over from there. By the time I moved out, my room was one giant Vision Board with the walls and ceiling completely covered!

I did my first Vision Board when I was 10. You know me, I still have it somewhere. It is all about women's fashion a la 1970 and is on purple construction paper. This was before I knew I would have a purple room and spend many years of my career in women's and men's fashion. So there must be something to the concept of a Vision Board and the achievement of one's future dreams.

Now, my Vision Board isn't so much about having material things. That's ok and I already have enough things. It's more about how I aspire to be and the time I would like to have to do it all.

In the instructions, they say to not worry about being artistic. How do you tell an artistic person to not be artistic...lol? And they say to put it in a place where you can see it often. So there you have it!

Now, I've got to go clean my room. Or NOT!!!

Thank you, Joe for letting me use the pic of me. One reason I love this pic is because it was taken in front of the statue of Columbus. Someone who had a definite vision of where he wanted to go. . .

Please!! NO Awards or Large Graphics...Group Buddy Icons are OK. Thank You!

To supplement my vision board I created a vision book to take with me when I travel. I write my goals and affirmations in it as well. Learn more about Visualization exercises

Earlier in the year I was part of a gathering with Sr. Joan to make a collage of our vision for the year. I didn't really have a clear vision as I was making it, but as I gaze upon it now, I see it as the first 4 lines of the Lord's Prayer from Neil Douglas-Kotz's interpretation of it in Aramaic. Sacred Unity, clearing a space for that to live, attuning to harmony and that vision of the cosmos of that kingdom/queendom in the now.

Today Alex and I made vision boards for 2009 -- sort of "visual new year's resolutions."

It appears from Alex's that for the coming year she wants to be Tinkerbell, a princess, and an incontinent cat.

(Happy New Year, everyone!)

Some of the images and words to use on my vision board for this year. Getting shiny, healthy hair, beginning to build a family from friends, and more...

This is "My Life of BLiss" - one of my vision boards.

This is an example of visual storytelling, because each photo represents part of the story I am creating in my life.

Here is what each photot means: I touch every life on the planet in a positive way. I ride in a hot air balloon and soar high above the ground. I swim with wild dolphins, take a cruise to Alaska and 1 in the Greek Isles, meet giant tortoises in the Galapagos Islands, visit sacred sites in Hawaii, appear in Success Magazine, and have many other amazing adventures, all in a sacred manor, in harmony with all of life. This is why visual storytelling represents one of many storytelling techniques
