Well, my vision is still slowly improving but I have a few quirks! My mantra lately has been "Be Patient!"

I used ISO 6400, that's why it's grainy.

I have learned that light is very important to make good photographs. I haven't thought about the light source before. You have to manage ISO, shutter speed, aperture and flash. Now I know that I need to buy a tripod which make it possible to take pictures with long shutter speed. I love the effect that you can play with light and paint with it.

Vision.

Bright eyes.

Blinded by what once was,

these eyes now seek brighter days.

These eyes now seek to be

enlightened to new things,

experiences

new life,

new love...

These eyes see past the surface,

glancing into depths unknown

even by you.

These eyes are bright with truth.

Isaiah 35:4-6 (New International Version)

4 say to those with fearful hearts,

"Be strong, do not fear;

your God will come,

he will come with vengeance;

with divine retribution

he will come to save you."

5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened

and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

6 Then will the lame leap like a deer,

and the mute tongue shout for joy.

Water will gush forth in the wilderness

and streams in the desert.

Photos taken for work of an event at Lovejoy Elementary School where students received their new eyeglasses. Vision to Learn is a group working with with the school district and other community partners to provide eye exams and, if needed, glasses for students. They are piloting their work at five elementary schools in Des Moines.

A common self-portrait, but more a study in composition and post processing than anything.

Went looking for angels and this is what I found. Hope your guardian angel is watching over you this week. Thanks to Liddy and Roxanne for reminding me how interesting a walk through the cemetery can be.

“Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is simply passing the time. Action with Vision is making a positive difference.”
