MosMax's slide...

It is a long long slide from a great height all the way into the water. You touch a red ball and land inside of it and get catapulted down. If you are in mouselook it is a somewhat grueling experience. The construction itself is a beautiful luminescent wireframe. I went down quite a few times while I took these and will be back for more...

Day 2 and I am back at it: One thing I realized looking at what I did yesterday is that I probably need to lessen what I have in the background. Here I have taken away some of those prims. Still need to do more of it by the looks of things though.

Second, I rezzed some lights to create lit up areas. It works to a certain extent but not to the degree where photshop is totally obsolete. So, there is still considerable selective light adjustment with both Curves and Levels in PS.

Third - and I really love this one: If one rezzes a prim and selects it the avatar looks at the prim, right? So, I used one of the light prims to get Alpha to look where I want her to look. As long as one disables the selection beam from the tools menu, it works like a charm! hhh

Hack is actually busy building in all of these shots, rezzing a megaprim from what I can tell.

Tegen and I are deep in conversation. wolfie is left outside of the frame of the window but he is here also, of course.

Going off road past the power plant, close to Cappadocia. It is actually raining quite heavily here. Hope it isn't too slippery....

One thing I am very glad about, I have to say: The piano was licked by the blazing inferno but ultimately it was spared!

(As was the merchandise... Although, unfortunately the central tower was very close to the source of the ignition, so I have had Grapho fumigate the boxes a bit this morning...)

After Mr. Fisseux takes off to tour Syncretia, Hack decides to give the plane stuck by the jellyfish basin a try at flying. But, it won't do it. "Rusted" he says. Now that simply cannot be true! I have been putting some specially developed anti-rust nano technology particles, which a scientist acquaintance has asked me to test in metaverse conditions for him, in that water. There can be no rust!!!

Of course I had absolutely nothing to wear for the memorial service... But metaverse stores are all there for a reason, right?

A highly appropriate outfit of black lace. I would be a credit to any funeral dressed in this I think... Except of course, my credibility only lasts as far as my waistline: Below, the same old cruddy black jeans and neko boots I'm afraid...

A Burst of Blooms is a 50m x 50m panoramic skybox, 200 prims and is mod/copy. It features a texture changeable pond by clicking on the pond, cuddle bench and a couples kissing pose and it may be visited here: maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ferndale/67/196/2403

Photograph settings are SL defaults and was taken on site at Two Moon Gardens using a just before sunset setting.

It was almost like a case of spontaneous combustion: wolfie's beautiful red Cadillac just went up in flames! In the middle of the shop! Thank goodness he wasn't in it himself at the time! (Too busy setting up the fuse from a safe distance, I would imagine...)

Lots of repeat shots here, but quite frankly, I am amazed that I kept enough of a clear head on my shoulders to be able to even take photographs at all! So, I do think that it is understandable that I may have overclicked!

This morning, in the aftermath of the calamity, the sad debris has been cleaned away and we are back to our everyday state of affairs. But what an evening it was!

On really big farms they plant crops with helis don't they?

Well, our crops are nukes! Hack and I start out at Syncretia and fly the length and breadth of the Archipelago planting nukes!!!

hhhh...

We are such GOOD examples to our students! It is absolutely mind boggling that they should be lucky enough to get educated by such fine, upstanding role models...

I look like a highly intelligent little monkey, don't I?... The operative word here being "monkey", of course...

The second international Workshop concerning the European Tele-Plateaus took place in the Medialab Prado, Madrid. More than 40 participants from the region attended.

Along with various ETP-artists, the workshop focussed on:

* Ensuring the technical networking and implementation of net-supported interaction of several distant participants

* Scheduling and advancement of interactive networked virtual envirnonments.

The participants of the workshop were offered the possibility to become acquainted with the functionality of the Camera-Motion-Sensing-System that is used in the context of ETP. They would be able to contribute in the technical, artistical and conceptual development. Under the leadership of reverso, terms of body-telematic presence should be ascertained, which are avoiding the presentation of precisely identifiable shapes and rather create spacial, acoustical and visual amorphous perceptions of presence. That way, a criticism on the model of the telematic communication in the information society should be raised.

Although Hack was the one who TP'd me when I got there I found him sitting outside at the wheel of a gorgeous pink caddy.

Quite frankly, I was exhausted anyway so after looking around for a bit I went out and joined him.

Here is a souvenir shot with Selavy Oh to prove that the outing actually took place. (I think it is the first time Alpho did anything remotely cultural, you know?)

And here is the other great thing: Quite a crowd there but no one knew her from Eve... There were even a few people wearing alpha.tribe things around her, and even so - completely incognito...

Hack and I have been working too hard: As MosMax's assistant he has had to build and rebuild a huge sphere, over and over again. And as everyone knows, nothing, not even the smallest imperfection ever escapes Mossy's gimlet eye! I on the other hand, have been grafting away at Syncretia.

So, we take off a half hour and cruise over the Archipelago...

I have been away for a while. Today was my first day back. I went to Klein before any place else since I had already heard that Hack had been busy on his new villa. I liked the old one that this one has replaced and felt really sad when Hackso decided to blow it up, but I have to admit that this new one is really something in an entirely different league. There is more I want to write on this at some point, probably on my blog though...

Looking at the power plant.

Syncretia/Citrinitas is an alchemical power plant which utilizes the water pumped from the Black Mountain for alchemical purposes. This water is cycled through the fairy chimneys at Syncretia/Cappadocia, after which it begins its long journey across the plains of the northern shore. The acquisition of alchemical properties is initiated during this phase: As it progresses the water gains in density. In the plant proper the water is further treated to the point where it can actually turn dross to gold! The two Hobo trucks inside the huge containers are currently undergoing treatment. One unexpected byproduct is a rejuvenating elixir! Sitting inside one of the spheres below the purification tanks can create wonders, not only in therms of appearance but also of state of mind!
