View from the harbor, the "Suomen Joutsen" frigate reflecting on on river surface just after sunset in Turku Finland (Canon EOS 350D)
This is a very popular view of The Grand Canal taken from the Rialto Bridge. Trying to get elbow room to take a picture can be a challenge. As you can see it is well worth it.
Penang Hill comprises several hills including Strawberry Hill, Halliburton’s Hill, Flagstaff Hill, Government Hill , Tiger Hill, and Western Hill. The highest point of this range is at Western Hill, with an elevation of 833m (2,723ft )above sea level. The range also serves as the largest water catchment area on the island, and a number of tributaries to major rivers in Penang. One of the many attractions on Penang Hill is the panoramic view, Here is the first of them. I liked the hills and the greenery in the foreground, hence this picture. The view from my office late in the day. I like looking up 10th Avenue towards Balboa Park and the SAN flight path.

The view of the countryside below the Roman Fort at Hardknott Pass. The massive boulder looked like yet another tower overlooking the hilly approaches to the fort. Note the Cumbrian walls stretching all over the hilly countryside. Some of them reach all the way to the peak! Cumbrian farmers must have had a lot of spare time on their hands!
