Camellia 'Jury's Yellow' is one of just a few yellow Camellias and as such is a really popular variety.
The intensity of the yellow centre combined with the variation in shape of the central petals creates a fantastic flower. The outside petals are large and upright whereas those of the golden centre are smaller and tightly ruffled.
'Jury's Yellow’ flowers profusely and very reliably from February right through to April. Easy to grow and super reliable, this handsome, evergreen shrub has glossy, bright green leaves providing year long interest.
This Camellia is perfectly suited to planting in a container to bring some colour to a terrace or patio and will do best in ericaceous soil in either partial shade or sun (hence mine likes to be on the North facing wall of my home!
She currently bears lots of unopened buds, which I will be able to enjoy for some time to come!.
"Point of View" is a landmark public sculpture in bronze by James A. West; it sits in a parklet named for the work of art, Point of View Park, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The piece depicts George Washington and the Seneca leader Guyasuta, with their weapons down, in a face-to-face meeting in October 1770, when the two men met while Washington was in the area examining land for future settlement along the Ohio River.
Point of View sits on the edge of Mt. Washington (Grandview Avenue at Sweetbriar Street) on the westernmost end of Grand View Scenic Byway Park and the Grand View Scenic Byway, a designated Pennsylvania scenic byway.
View of the south end of Kunoy Island from Klakkur mountain, Bordoy Island, the Faroes. Taken in the late afternoon, it was super windy as usual. I will upload a 180° panoramic in the coming weeks linking these images.
This view is the first thing I see every morning - just spectacular. The view is over Val di Merse and in the background you see Monti Amiata.
Shot with the RF 100/2.8 Macro on the trusty EOS R5. Maybe not the obvious choice of landscape lens, but I was in a hurry. Colour graded in Capture One Pro and stitched of 4 images in Photoshop.

This is the Tunnel view at Yosemite. The day before there was a massive snow storm that came through and dumped all this snow! It was one of the best days of my life being here, it was magical!
Heya, flickr babies! I'm back from New Zealand and what a trip it was. I'm just getting into my processing groove with images from the trip and should have some good stuff to share with you all soon. For now, here's a selfie of me in one of the most grand locations I've ever been to: Aoraki/Mt. Cook National Park. Hope all is well!

This is the view looking south, taking from the roof terrace at work. The bar spoils the view, but you can just catch sight of the sea and Isle of Wight in the distance!!
Locals in the Daytona Beach, Florida area know City Island to be where the library and courthouse are located, but it's also a place where many people like to take a leisurely stroll by the river to enjoy the beautiful, tropical scenery.
In this shot, taken behind the library, you can see the Halifax River and the International speedway Blvd. Bridge in the background. The bridge is one of the prettiest I've ever seen, with its long, flowing expanse, and exquisite mosaic murals which depict Florida wildlife. The murals are not just on the top of the bridge, interspersed along the way for motorists to enjoy, but underneath on the pilings, so boaters can, too! If you look in large, you can barely see the manatees and dolphins that adorn the pilings underneath.
One shot I took of this bridge was used in a bridge builder's magazine in South America. I have a copy somewhere. One of these days I will dig it out and photograph it. It's all in Spanish, so I will have to translate what is being said about the bridge!
