This shot came from the same pier as the previous shot but a few hours earlier. The moment had me thinking of characters in movies who say to "Just sit and the answer will come to you." The question was of course what to photograph when the light was not right for what I wanted. So I sat and at my foot was this outgrowth of something, likely a weed. My mother-in-law used to say, "if it does not belong there it is likely a weed."
The blonde color of the item contrasted with the dark wood. And, it shone brightly as the low rays of the sun painted it on the dark canvas of wood. All I had to do was compose the image and my subject would stand out. So I reversed the leading lines and created a triangle that might lead the viewers eyes back to my little subject. The one that was sitting right beside me when I sat down to find an opportunity. I guess those really are all around us, we just need to take a moment to see them.
In this haunting landscape the viewer is drawn into a twisted path flanked by grotesque, gnarled trees. The road winds through an eerie forest, where each tree appears to writhe in silent agony, their twisted forms creating a claustrophobic tunnel of shadows. The oppressive atmosphere is palpable, as if the very air is thick with the weight of forgotten sorrows and lost souls. The monochromatic palette enhances the sense of desolation, transforming the scene into a surreal nightmare.

Coming to grips is a process longer, more intricate, than I thought. I know now, in the grand scheme, no one could love her as deeply as I had. Others might try, more likely throwing out that word, lures, or various sweet nothings in an ultimately meaningless bit to get their phallus moist, give off the appearance of succession in the short-term. It'll feel ecstatic; blissful, even. But, it'll ultimately be fleeting, everlastingly pointless, and considerably empty.
They couldn't understand her as I had, and even then, the surface seemed barely scratched in the realm of understanding. They'll fall for her body, words she may flippantly throw out, and nothing more. But, they could never have the courage to fall for her mind; her soul. One of a kind. Never knowing which way the ride will take you, but you're just happy to tag along because... well, that's devotion above all. Doesn't matter what form of relationship you're in. Devotion is hard to come by and you won't find it by searching for it. It'll come when you least expect it. And when it's gone, it's gone. Try as one may to get some form of it re-established, it'll never be as it was.
And that's what I've needed to tell myself.

When nature gives you such a stunning fireworks display at the beginning of the day, the feeling for the viewer (in this case me) can hardly be put into words. That makes the whole day, maybe even the whole week, something special.
And so I stand here on the summit of mount Lilienstein in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and wait for the sunrise full of awe, gratitude and admiration.
I've been up here at this time of day a few times now, but I don't think I've ever seen such a dramatic sky.
And as an added bonus, the sun rises in the perfect spot. This gives the impression that the river Elbe flows straight into the center of the sunrise.
Sometimes you just get really lucky.
Wenn die Natur Dir zu Tagesanfang ein solches umwerfendes Feuerwerk schenkt, dann ist das Gefühl für den Betrachter (in dem Fall mich) kaum in Worte zu fassen. Das macht gleich den ganzen Tag, vielleicht sogar die ganze Woche, zu etwas Besonderen.
Und so stehe ich hier auf dem Gipfel vom Lilienstein im Elbsandsteingebirge und warte voller Ehrfurcht, Dankbarkeit und Bewunderung auf den Sonnenaufgang.
Ich war nun schon einige Male um diese Tageszeit hier oben, doch einen solchen dramatischen Himmel habe ich glaube ich noch nie erlebt.
Und als zusätzlichen Bonus geht die Sonne an der perfekten Stelle auf. So entsteht der Eindruck, dass die Elbe geradewegs ins Zentrum den Sonnenaufgangs fliesst.
Manchmal hat man eben sie richtig viel Glück.

I work in the architectural field and I am also an architectural photographer. I have been a staff photographer for the Community Edition since 2017. I really enjoy work with the Community Edition, as it always provides me with opportunities to meet new and interesting people in our city.
This image captures the leading lines of a pedestrian bridge, as seen through a glass ball. The symmetry and shallow depth of field, work together to pull the viewer into the scene and lead them down the path. The greenery also provides an organic contrast to the concrete structure.
Alexander Von Wagner 1838-1919
Wagner breathes life into this scene by making the viewer feel that they are in the path of the speeding horse-drawn chariots.
Roman chariots racing was exhilarating but dangerous. In collisions, the flimsy chariots might easily smash and the charioteer could be dragged to death, or seriously injured, entangled in the long reins.
Wagner may have been inspired by the novel Ben Hur, which was published in 1880. His academic training enabled him to paint convincingly the Ancient Roman architecture and costume which provides the backdrop to the drama of the race.

These Paddle Borders are neither board, nor without motion. Instead, they move through the colours of Smuggler Cove with the grace of flight. Their slightly blurred motion illustrates both movement and direction, as they slowly proceed through a kaleidoscope of colour.
By no means at it's peek of vibrance, this area still surrounds its viewers with the visual delights of nature. And, without urban sounds, it is as quiet as this image suggests.
