The value of nypa sap production was documented by Worldview’s pilot project completed in 2014. Ten villages were engaged in nypa sap tapping for production of healthy sweetener syrup in a cottage industry facility. The project provided valuable income to the tappers and production staff, with production of 1000 liter readymade syrup of high quality packed in handy 300 ml bottles as a result.

The flower branch is cut for collection of nypa sap. Each tree yields approximately one liter per day.

-- A fundamental modification in meaning and value of pure form-elements arises with the addition of colors, which not only determine the emotional atmosphere of a pictorial representation or its inner vision, but open a new dimension. While the three Euclidian dimensions of space with which we are familiar represent three outwardly directed movements, colors and tonal values (attention may be drawn to the double meaning of "tonal," which can be related to colors as well as to music) are inwardly directed and thus create a space in which things exist not only side by side but also within each other, and yet not dissolving or annihilating each other.

-- Color and sound (music) are direct expressions of psychic experiences which cannot be grasped, defined, or expressed by the intellect. While pure abstract forms initially appeal to the intellect, colors appeal first and foremost to feeling. The intellect defines and limits; the same is done by form. Color, however, gives us the warmth of life, of feeling, of emotion and all the indescribable nuances of experience, which the intellect is not able to express or to define. Therefore, the virtue of form is clarity; the virtue of color is depth. From the intellect we demand clarity, consistency, logic, distinction; we demand the same of form. From feeling we demand depth; the same applies to color.

-- Thus, color reveals something that has to do with inner nature or emotional value of form, and this is all the more so to the extent that we keep away from a mere imitation of externally visible objects and create exclusively from our inner vision or our meditative experience.

-- Here the question arises whether any definite relation exists between fundamental forms and colors beyond our subjective attitude or experience.

-- If we consider that the universe---as it is reflected in our human consciousness---is composed of three fundamental forms and three fundamental colors, and that the forms as well as the colors develop into pairs of opposites which condition and compensate each other like the positive and the negative poles of a magnet, or like the active and passive properties of the male and the female, then it is hard to believe that this parallelism is a mere accident. Both express the structure of our three-dimensional world by which they are conditioned; they represent the same harmony in different dimensions---there is a definite relationship between colors and forms. This relationship may be expressed in different ways, according to the standpoint of the individual, but this changes only the key-note, not the melody. Even a different rhythm, according to the individual temperament and experience, would not destroy that melody.

I took this photo because I was walking home from soccer and I noticed that the sun was starting to set. I saw on the sidewalk that the shadows of the tree were covering the whole thing and that it would be great for value.

i think now i have fully molested value world with my camera.

scanned negative of a photo taken with nikon 50d, NEOPAN ACROS 100 B&W film, developed with rodinal.

A boring name for a beautiful daffodil.

My central idea is value. I chose this concept, because my family is very important to me. Most people would say that they value their family and friends. But some people would say that they care for wealth, looks, religion and etc. I wanted to show that there are many things that people love if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I wanted to be more on the positive side, but I realized that not everything is all just happiness. So I changed a couple of my picture ideas and showed more of a darker side of what valuable means.

For my first photo, it shows religion or beliefs. I think that this works for my concept, because religious beliefs is something that some people put all of their time and effort in. It can affect how people live and how they act towards others and the environment.

For my second photo, I'm showing beauty. Many people around the world is insecure about how they looks, and how others see them from the outside. Makeup covers all of the physical marks on someone's face or body. Some people are consumed by makeup so much that they can't even go outside without makeup on, because they feel embarrassed or ugly.

My next photo shows the importance of pets. Pets can be very valuable to to a person or family. A pet can be like a best friend or a family member that you've never had. They comfort you and help you feel like your not alone. And when you have a pet, you create a special bond.

My fourth photo represents family. Family is one of the bigger values that people have. You can go to them when you are having a hard time, and count on them for anything. They're like your best friends and you have a lot of memorable memories together whether it's good or bad.

My last photo shows wealth. Individuals can be so focused on how much money they have, since they can buy anything that they desire. Some people would rather live with a lot of money than live with people around them. And in my photo it shows someone in a suit wearing a watch and having a lot of money. So I think that all of my photos fit for this project.
