This stack of cut up wood in my back yard shows value in the different shades of wood. Some wood is much older with a darker color while the freshly cut wood is a brighter color.
This photo was taken right outside my house in our tree. I edited it to make it black and white to show value. The sharpness of the photo makes the individual lines and indents stand out which shows the spectrum from white to black making this photo a very good example of value.

this has a very nice examle of value bc of the fact it goes from light to dark. and i love the color blue
This countertop in my dorms common area was very interesting, in this picture it looks like a countertop that has tints and shades which is true. At some points of the day some parts of the table change color due to the light coming from outside. Throughout the whole counter you can see the value scale. I think this is interesting because everyone sees the color change differently.
Value is apparent in this picture, as indicated by the monochromatic scale. This is interesting because the value in this piece allows one to see the subject of the picture.
1. The element shown in the image is value. Value is reflected into the image due to the transition of various tones of blues. From top to bottom the transition starts with a dark blue to a lighter blue then light blue almost white, then it transitions to a light blue then normal blue then darker blue again.
2. The subject matter of the image is birds eye view of a country taken from a plane.
