This is a build that's very close to my heart: may I present to you all the VR-052F Veritech, or more simply, the Cyclone. If you're a Robotech or MOSPEADA fan you'll most instantly recognise this build, it's iconic. As a kid, my dad raised me on Robotech, which in the last few years I've been able to expand on with my discovery of Macross and all of the other titles Carl Macek smooshed together to produce his saga. The basic idea of the Cyclone is to provide REF soldiers with increased survivability through a means of transport and enhanced combat effectiveness. It does this by transforming from a motorbike into a set of armour, granting the wearer extreme abilities via boosters, weapons and targeting systems.

ECW bodied convertible Bristol VRTSL3/6LXB 617 (UWV 617S) recently restored to Southdown West Sussex two tone green and cream livery looked superb as it stood on the seafront at Worthing on July 31st 2016.
Bristol VR double-decker NOB 413M at the Transport Museum Wythall on 5 October 2025. This preserved former West Midlands PTE (Public Transport Executive) vehicle was built in 1974. The bus has a Bristol VRT/SL2 chassis with a Metro-Cammell (MCW) body, a combination unique to the West Midlands operator at the time.
Fleet number 4413 entered service in 1974 at Wolverhampton and ran in the West Midlands for only seven years. It was one of several bought in 1982 by National Welsh who kept it until 1985.

Back Story ...........
Same Same, arriving early and feeding The Browns.
Cut through The DMZ on my way to feed The Leroy Crew.
Now this is where the term Same Same but Different takes place.
Instantly noticed Leroy was MIA. Funny thing was I saw him when first pulling into the temple grounds a half an hour earlier.
Tuff Guy and Girlfriend are racing circles around me while approaching the big drum.
GF was very excited knowing breakfast was about to be served.
Tuff Guy was more excited in GF then in the food. ???
Whats that say you ask ?
Well lets back up a little bit and I'll fill ya in .
Couple days back I noticed Leroy and TG were paying a lot of attention to GF, that's the back end and not the biting end.
Just to clarify that for you non dog people.
The "biting end" is where the teeth are.
The "back end" is where the tail is...... ;-)
Now today TG keeps trying to hump GF but GF keeps introducing him to the "biting end" !
Leroy wants to join the party but TG keeps introducing Leroy to his "biting end" !
OK, ya with me here ?
Is Girl Friend coming into heat ?
She wasn't flagging but something seems to be going on to attract so much attention from Leroy and TG.
So lets think about this, I've been caring for these dogs going on about 3 years and never once has GF come into heat !
That doesn't mean she won't come into season I mean stranger things happen out here all the time.
I'm trying to envision a bunch of Little Leroys and Tiny Tuff Guys, scary thought ! ..;-)
Anyway Leroy finally came sneaking in the back way and hurriedly jumped up on his bench in an effort to avoid TG.
All 3 were fed then Leroy split even before finishing his meal.
TG finished Leroys meal , go figure.
OK, In this photo is Honey, many may remember she is the head monks dog and always likes to spend a little quality time with me. The Red Chair is where I briefly sit while doing that activity.
GF and TG are off to my left trying to work out their new love arrangement .
Leroy is standing further away wishing he could win GF's affection.

A l’origine, un arbre. Celui qui trône dans la cour de l’hôtel de Cantobre, et qui ombrage la Maison Européenne de la Photographie. En reprenant les codes du processus photographique, Anne Claverie, plasticienne et performeuse, transforme la vitrine de la MEP en une chambre noire dans laquelle une sculpture reproduisant l’arbre de Cantobre occupe l’espace.
Composé de plexiglass, renversé et prenant ses racines dans le plafond, il s’impose comme une onde lumineuse au milieu de cette chambre noire et rappelle l’image qui se crée dans la camera obscura. Immergés, les visiteurs se retrouvent de manière symbolique au centre du processus de fabrication de l’image, expérimentant ainsi le phénomène revisité du sténopé. Dans son travail photographique, Anne Claverie travaille à réconcilier image et volume par l’intervention directe de l’outil sur l’impression photo. Avec Onde, créée spécialement pour la MEP, l’artiste aspire à saisir le passage entre le volume et la création de son image. Anne Claverie sculpte la lumière.

Earlier this month we had lunch at Lavande of Callington, with a selection of delicious French style food, built behind the old Police station at Callington. Thank you to Chris for who gave us a guided tour.
This is the front of the old original Police station at Callington.
Note the V R on the archway of the front doorway.
This was built during Queen Victoria's long reign.
I also found the recent sign, left side, amusing/ironic being in front of an old Police station even though not used anymore. Like a subliminal message about crime.
It is now used as private residence.

The Old Police Station, cells and stables were designed by the Chief Colonial Architect in 1866.
Built from bluestone and sandstone it is considered to be an outstanding example of early Colonial architecture in the Georgian Style and is classified by the National Trust.
Going trought my old stuff and I cant remember was these ever published anywhere? Not the best picture of that day, but you get the idea.

Nippon Kosokki wasn’t in anyway associated with Nippon Kogaku, Nikon, but perhaps they would like to be as it is written in the camera’s front and on the lens. This is my second Taron rangefinder, the other being the Eyemax, one of the ugliest cameras ever. This VR rangefinder has a sober design, classical, unadventurous, thank God. This is an entry level rangefinder camera as the 2.8 lens and 1/300th maximum shutter speed indicates. Still, it is very decently made, but the viewfinder is not in the same league as other Japanese cameras of the same era, it doesn’t feature automatic parallax correction, just a bright frame. No meter, of course, this was supposed to be a cheap camera.
Apparently Taron was big as an OEM camera supplier, but not under its own name. There are other far more interesting and sophisticated models, but the company didn’t survive in the sea of big names and it disappeared somewhere in the 60’s.
