Old railroad car at a rail yard. Age is starting to show and I love photoing everything that looks old. This certainly did as an abandoned car.
"VR" stands for Finnish railway company owned by the state of Finland. Name is originated from "Valtionrautatiet" (State railways) from 1922 or from the original name "Suomen Valtion Rautatiet" (Railways of the state of Finland) from 1862.

This is a build that's very close to my heart: may I present to you all the VR-052F Veritech, or more simply, the Cyclone. If you're a Robotech or MOSPEADA fan you'll most instantly recognise this build, it's iconic. As a kid, my dad raised me on Robotech, which in the last few years I've been able to expand on with my discovery of Macross and all of the other titles Carl Macek smooshed together to produce his saga. The basic idea of the Cyclone is to provide REF soldiers with increased survivability through a means of transport and enhanced combat effectiveness. It does this by transforming from a motorbike into a set of armour, granting the wearer extreme abilities via boosters, weapons and targeting systems.

This little guy is quite small, I finally got him still here. I used a Nikkor 80mm-400mm VR lens to capture this one. The VR did a good job controlling the vibration as I hand held the lens.
Birthday gift from Manna. Yes...this is the second lens she gave me for my birhday this year. :-)
Thank you,Baby!

She was a beauty--a gold 45 goddess for sure! A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess guards the beauty of dx4/dt=ic and embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic odyssey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. And now Athena descends once again, assuming the form of a Gold 45 Goddess, to inspire you along your epic journey of heroic endeavour.

Earlier this month we had lunch at Lavande of Callington, with a selection of delicious French style food, built behind the old Police station at Callington. Thank you to Chris for who gave us a guided tour.
This is the front of the old original Police station at Callington.
Note the V R on the archway of the front doorway.
This was built during Queen Victoria's long reign.
I also found the recent sign, left side, amusing/ironic being in front of an old Police station even though not used anymore. Like a subliminal message about crime.
It is now used as private residence.
Rear of Police station below.
From Lavande's website.
The Old Police Station, cells and stables were designed by the Chief Colonial Architect in 1866.
Built from bluestone and sandstone it is considered to be an outstanding example of early Colonial architecture in the Georgian Style and is classified by the National Trust.

Going trought my old stuff and I cant remember was these ever published anywhere? Not the best picture of that day, but you get the idea.
Nippon Kosokki wasn’t in anyway associated with Nippon Kogaku, Nikon, but perhaps they would like to be as it is written in the camera’s front and on the lens. This is my second Taron rangefinder, the other being the Eyemax, one of the ugliest cameras ever. This VR rangefinder has a sober design, classical, unadventurous, thank God. This is an entry level rangefinder camera as the 2.8 lens and 1/300th maximum shutter speed indicates. Still, it is very decently made, but the viewfinder is not in the same league as other Japanese cameras of the same era, it doesn’t feature automatic parallax correction, just a bright frame. No meter, of course, this was supposed to be a cheap camera.
Apparently Taron was big as an OEM camera supplier, but not under its own name. There are other far more interesting and sophisticated models, but the company didn’t survive in the sea of big names and it disappeared somewhere in the 60’s.

All art is but imitation of nature.-- Seneca (Letters from a Stoic - Letter LXV: On the First Cause)
The universe itself is God and the universal outpouring of its soul. --Chrysippus (Quoted by Cicero in De Natura Deorum)
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells. --To Autumn. by John Keats

Modeling the new black & gold & "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the main equation to Dynamic Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Odyssey Physics here:
herosodysseyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!
