Op 16 januari 2010 werden de voor sloop bestemde treinstellen 511 en 801 van Nederlandse Spoorwegen van Weert naar Zwolle Rangeer gebracht. Het transport werd getrokken door Volker Rail-diesellocomotief 203-2 (ex-DB 202 691) en het gesplitste treinstel 921 deed dienst als koppelwagens. Voor de beremming zorgde de achterop meegevoerde Kirow-kraan. Foto bij Tricht.
This was my first visit to Palouse Falls. I hunted around for a spot to take this sunset photo and settled on this view. Most of the color this evening was to my Right and over head making everything in the canyon look magenta :) One thing I now realize is that I should have used my ND filter to make a longer exposure to blur the pool of water :(
This is a single frame and no grad filter was used. The D800 has a lot of dynamic range :)

VolkerRail V100 Ost 203-1 'Tom' duwt een set VTG zelflossers en (waarom is me niet helemaal duidelijk) een VolkerRail verblijfswagen langs de Sonthaven naar het laadstation van OBA in Amsterdam Westhaven, 12-01-2022
Een aantal van de, als ik het me goed herinner, dertien ballasttreinen die ingezet werden bij de werkzaamheden van Strukton Rail in Heeze in februari/maart 2023 werd gereden door VolkerRail. Een 'concurrent' die ballasttreinen rijdt voor een ander bedrijf; in de Infrapool kan het.
Door deze samenwerking kon de fraaie combinatie van een VolkerRail loc met de hoge ballastwagens t.b.v. de nieuwe bovenlaag meermaals vastgelegd worden. Tot aan de spanningsloosstelling werd gereden met elektrische tractie. Daarna nam de dieselloc het over.
Op bovenstaande foto zijn we al diep in de buitendienststelling en is er net begonnen met het lossen van de trein; zie de vijfde Fccpps. Dieselloc 203-1 "Tom" trekt de trein tergend traag de overweg over. Het wegverkeer zou nog een hele tijd staan te wachten..!
Achterop lift de VR 7178 mee.

Elk of the Canadian Rockies
Elk, also known as Wapiti or Red Deer, enjoy large populations in North America, primarily in western parts of the United States and Canada. These large relatives of deer are also found in smaller populations in other parts of the world, in protected native groups or introduced populations. Their preference for open woodlands and a range of elevations make many states habitable for elk, though their current range is much smaller than their historical range.
The Elk Range is a mountain range of the Canadian Rockies, located on the southern edge of Kananaskis on the Alberta-British Columbia border. The range was named for Elk found on the mountain slopes and in the nearby Elk River valley. Originally known as the Elk Mountains in 1917, the name was formally changed to the Elk Range in 1951.

Ondanks dat het bij aankomst eigenlijk al gesluierd was en ik onderweg al mijn twijfels had ben ik toch maar even blijven hangen, anders is die 40 km fietsen ook zoiets, zeker toen ik een spot las van Volkerrail die onderweg was met de fraaie 7178.
De voormalige NS 1778 kwam met zestien Fccpps-SAL wagens langs als trein 58101 van Amsterdam Westhaven naar Deventer Goederen, een rit bedoeld voor machinisteninstructie. Doordat het op dat moment even goed dicht zat was een plaat met ongunstige zonnestand mogelijk in wat mij betreft nog heel redelijk licht.

Very exotic bird in Fortaleza! Really stunning livery for this ACJ! This one arrived in Oct 23rd and was chartered by some rich folks to spend some days visiting Ceará state. Arrived under callsign "Mike Romeo Bravo Uniform Sierra", from Moscow Vnukovo via Tenerife, and is seen pushing back for a flight to Newark, USA. Surely an amazing scheme, and also a very funny registration! :D

Imagen capturada en la Plaza de America de Sevilla, en ella se ve el reflejo invertido del Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares. Esta arquitectura de estilo neomudéjar, fue construido en 1914 sobre un proyecto realizado en 1913 con motivo de la Exposición Iberoamericana de 1929. Obra del arquitecto Aníbal González, autor también de los otros edificios levantados en la misma plaza de América donde se ubica este museo.
Está construido en ladrillo visto con aplicaciones de cerámica repleta de motivos llenos de fantasía. Durante la Exposición Iberoamericana era conocido como el Pabellón de Arte Antiguo, y posteriormente como Pabellón Mudejar, hasta que comenzó a desarrollar su función actual.
Este pabellón, antes de ser destinado como museo, ha sido escogido para otros usos desde su fecha de construcción.Sus funciones como museo se desarrollan desde el 4 de marzo de 1973, fecha en que abre sus puertas al público.

In de zomer van 2023 nam Strukton het emplacement van Leeuwarden op de schop. Het hele emplacement werd vernieuwd en uiteraard werden er meerdere wissels gesaneerd.
Om vervuilde ballast af te voeren werden een aantal MFS'en van Strukton ingezet. Op de foto passeert de van Volker Rail gehuurde 203-4 met het korte treintje Onna opweg vanuit Leeuwarden naar de uiteindelijke eindbestemming Roosendaal. Helaas zou de trein die plaats die dag niet halen. In Zwolle werd er onverhooopt een trap langs het perron geraakt waardoor de trein niet verder kwam dan Zwolle rangeer.

And the geese were swimming. Right past one of my favorite compositions. Fortunately, I can walk faster than they can paddle and I was able to get to my camera before they passed the place where I take this shot.

LTE 193728 staat afgesteld op het locspoor terwijl VR 203-5 met de lege kolentrein bestaande uit 27 lege VTG Falns'n zojuist vertrokken is opweg naar de nieuwe Rietlanden om beladen te worden.
