United Counties Bristol VR, CBD 778K (1972), made a rare appearance in public yesterday. Having been washed off in the early autumn sunshine, she is seen here being returned to storage by her proud owner. The beautifully restored 'decker was the last of twelve Series 2 VRs to receive a full rebuild into Series 3 specification. Part way through her transformation it was touch and go as to whether or not her rebuild would be halted and her fate sealed. At a much later date, 778's present owner had the foresight to return to the scrapyard where she languished and to enquire about the possibility of her purchase. Once the window panels and various other parts that had been carefully removed to adorn another of his buses were replaced, 778 left the scrapyard under new stewardship. A full restoration was begun and the result is a credit to his labours.

I used this lens for few years. I think 24-120VR is very good lens with lovely color, even someone said it is not sharp. I sold this lens yesterday .. missing the lens now
South Midland's Witney depot provided a few journies on service 420 between Oxford and Woodstock, hence the appearance of Orbiter liveried 615 (PJO 448P) in April, 1989, during the rebuilding of Gloucester Green Bus Station.
Having driven sister bus UWV 623S just 2 weeks previously, Wednesday August 3rd 2016 brought me the opportunity to ride on sister bus UWV 614S which has been part of the Rail River Link fleet for several years. It is seen here in Totnes just before boarding.

Lucius Annaeus Seneca: On entering a temple we assume all signs of reverence. How much more reverent then should we be before the heavenly bodies, the stars, the very nature of God!
John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.
Taken at the Nikon VR booth at Photokina 2016. 360 video and VR are the future, it seems! Really pleased with the Loxia's performance and compact size, definitely a keeper.

Following Berresfordsmotors posting of PMT VR 728 in all over white, here is 728, or DVL728 as it was then known, when PMT were using Crosville inspired fleet number pre-fixes, as the Asda Bus. PMT operated a free weekday service to the Asda Superstore at Wolstanton, Newcastle Under Lyme, for many years. Over the years 3 VRs carried Asda Bus livery, 728 being the last. The regular Thursday operation involved passing through Hanley around 12.30, the day and time this was taken, it being 16 November 1996. Prior to the more dignified Asda livery, the bus had "worn" the Y fronts undignified livery.
The Nikon Afs 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 G ED VR is nice lens, I love it so much. Second hand, 235 dollars , not expensive and good use.
Melbourne VR tram number 52.
This was another watercolour which I painted using one of Graeme Farrar's original photographs and I am most grateful to him for giving me permission. I am also grateful for his skill behind the viewfinder for providing such excellent photos.
This one is larger than the other watercolours in the Melbourne Trams set on A3 size watercolour paper. I couldn't get it under my scanner and had to photograph it, hece the slightly out of perspective aspect at the other end.

I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.
On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably.
These days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, a Nikon D850 FX Pro body as my trusted companion, I travel light with less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 32.177+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Thirty four metres at 14:04pm on Wednesday 22nd August 2018, off Place Joffre and Avenue Emile Acollas, in the grounds of Champ de Mars, looking towards the Tour Eiffel located at Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 in Paris, France.
The Champ de Mars (Field of Mars), is a large park located in the Seventh arrondissement between the Eiffel Tower to the Northwest and Ecole Militaire to the Southeast. It was named after Campus Martius in Rome, Italy. It originally measured 42 hectares, but was reduced by architect Jeran-Camille Fromige for the 1890 World Exposition.
The Eiffel Tower was originally designed by Gustave Eiffel and constructed between 1887-1889 as the entrance to the worlds fair in that year. It is now the worlds most visited paid monument, standing 324 metres tall (1,063ft) with three floors and eight lifts and was the tallest building in the world from 1889 to 1930.
