Melbourne VR tram number 52.

This was another watercolour which I painted using one of Graeme Farrar's original photographs and I am most grateful to him for giving me permission. I am also grateful for his skill behind the viewfinder for providing such excellent photos.

This one is larger than the other watercolours in the Melbourne Trams set on A3 size watercolour paper. I couldn't get it under my scanner and had to photograph it, hece the slightly out of perspective aspect at the other end.

The Glastonbury festival is renowned, year on year, for being served by a large number of Bristol VRs: in this view three of Davis Hoare's Chepstow Classic Buses examples surround the remaining ABus one, painted to celebrate 100 years of Bristol bus and lorry building. The scene is the special festival bus staion - here a dust bowl, but on many other years a mud bath!

I'd recently been explaining to my daughters how British post boxes are marked with the initials of the reigning monarch from when the post box was installed. I was delighted to then find one with Queen Victoria's initials on it (so over a hundred years old). Douglas, Isle of Man
