The mighty Mississippi looked so peaceful and beautiful from Buena Vista park on the bluffs above Alma, Wisconsin. It gave no indication of the terrible flooding downstream.

The Vista has been one of the great single screen theatres in Los Angeles and showed first run movies.
The Vista was opened in Oct of 1923 as the Bard Hollywood Theatre and was designed by noted theatre designer Lewis A. Smith in a Spanish Renaissance style for the exterior and the interior in an Egyptian style which is amazing. The Vista had a re-vamped sound system and every other row of seats removed for plenty of leg room for a better viewing experienced. The Vista closed during the pandemic like all theatres and when it could open up the theater owner struggled to open it again so it sat empty. Then in July of 2021 Quentin Tarantino stepped up and bought the Vista. He then embarked on a complete renovation of the interior and exterior of the theatre and on Nov. 11th he held a special screening of the film ‘True Romance’ in 35mm. The grand opening to the public was held on Nov. 17th with Eli Roth’s ‘Thanksgiving’ also in 35mm which will be something that Tarantino will do at this theatre exclusively projecting movies on film. Very few of these single screen theatres survive so huge props to Quentin Tarantino for preserving this landmark and making it available to all of us to enjoy.
In the upper part of the Alpujarra of Granada, halfway between Órgiva and Pampaneira, lies this small town known as the village of witches.
The best way to see Soportújar is simply to walk through its streets and discover hidden mythological animals or evil beings in every corner.
