I found this beautiful vintage prom dress a few weeks ago in an antique shop in Atlanta. It is so much prettier in real life than it is showing in the pictures!! I added a vintage brooch to add to extra bling!

"Ruzicska Gyula műterméből
Debreczen, Piacz utcza 32 sz."
Printed as a postcard rather than a visiting card.
Gyula Ruzicska (1859-1931) operated as a photographer in Debrecen from 1906 to 1925.
Vintage Cinnabar lacquered pieces from the 1960’s. Bought in Bhutan and I purchased them at an antique store today. I’ve always love these ornate objects, but have never found such beautiful pieces myself. Cinnabar as a mineral is toxic with a high concentration of mercury. Even with these lacquered pieces, it’s best to handle them with gloves. The vase is ten inches high to give size perspective.
Spring City, Sanpete County, Utah.
In 1852, James Allred and his sons were sent from Manti to settle in Canal Creek. With so many Allreds in the area, it isn’t surprising that the first name was Allred Settlement.
With the outbreak of the Wakara War hostilities in July 1853, Hambleton settlers on Pleasant Creek retreated to the Allred Settlement and pleas for reinforcements brought 50 Danish families via Salt Lake. The village was sacked, and settlers removed to Manti and soon helped establish Fort Ephraim. When they finally returned in 1859, the agreed on the name Spring City. It’s an appropriate name, since the spring in the center of town always runs. The city is on the National Register of Historic Places. -- Courtesy Sanpete County
Found photo in Essex Junction, Vermont.
The original is badly faded. I love the details of the lamp, table. chair and organ in the background.

This remains of a midcentury sign in Greensburg, Pa.
The store at this time was an art supply store which has since moved to the mall. The 2020 Google Maps Streetside shows a sign saying,
"Coming Soon 2022,
2 Businesses under 1 roof!
RSVP, 2nd Business
To Be Announced"

It also shows these colored panels now gone.
