Vintage Illustration from the Panorama of Louisville Book featuring the History of Louisville, Ky from 1854 to 1954
Some archive photos to mark what would have been the London to Brighton weekend, originally moved to accommodate the coronation, a various number of additional factors meant this year's London to Brighton run could not go ahead at all. Such a shame after a great event last year following the Pandemic.
This Seddon tanker was new to Whitbread, before seeing use as yard shunter for Graysons of Rotheram. I understand it still survives in healthy condition but rarely seen now.
This was taken by my father Ian Ballisat at Crystal Palace 1989.

Welcome to Vancouver Pride, vintage style. I always love the colourfulness of pride!
Scanned lith print.
Rollei Vintage 332 RC (?) found in a black plastic bag (who knows how long it has been in there?) and lith printed.
Very unfamiliar process results and outcome for this, so I may be questioning if that's the paper noted on the bag or not (or has it just gotten old?).
A very quick establishment of the print contours already after <30 sec, and then almost nothing happend... On some of the prints there's this wavy cloudlike pattern all over, not bad IMO (but it was not there on the negative).
Jan 8, 2022. Rolleiflex T w/ Tessar 75 mm/3.5 + yellow filter.
Fomapan 100 dev in Rodinal 1+100, semistand 1 h.
Lith printed on Rollei vintage 332 RC and developed in Moersch Easy Lith (25A+25B+H2Oqs750ml). Feb 1, 2025.
Toned in Se 1+9, 45 sec.
Conclusion: The Rollei Vintage 332 RC has been aging during the years so it's not a very good lith paper anymore.
This was the first print in fresh soup. Took about 40 min (!) to be "ready" and still not defined...
Se toning was good and shifted the color tone to "blue metallic".
Yikes, not sure if I have the stamina for this, but the blue-stealish image tone after Se-toning was a reward.
Chicago Great Western 26 rolls a vintage selection of freight cars below Daytons Bluff at St. Paul, MN on 09-23-1972. Built in June of 1948, this NW2 was renumbered to the C&NW 1029 in 1973.
Yes, I'm cold! But the house has the worst lighting imaginable...

A ‘Vintage Still Life’ from a new series called: In Search of a Still Life...
which builds on simple objects to create the look and feel of an aged, classic painting.

I've IDed most of this stuff and it makes me a little sad that there's no complete outfits, but now it just makes me want to hunt down the other pieces more. My favorite is the Smasheroo jacket.
I have a few more Maddie Mod pieces in my giant container of Barbie clothes and I used to have even more but I gave some away when I was a child and now I'm kicking myself.
Vintage Presto-Matic automatic bob pin curler 1940.The apparatus inserts bobby pins into a curl. My mother was a hairdresser and received this gift when she retired in memory of her job
Taken at the Goodwood Revival event just as the doors had opened and before the crowds arrived. I used selective colouring to accentuate the red truct and decoration on the Merry Go Round

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of Sis Boom fabrics. Not only for the design and the way it triggers such a comfortable feeling in me but also for the quality of the fabric.... It just feels so good sliding along under the needle! My other favorite material to work with is damaged vintage tablecloths. Here they are together!

These cufflinks (Gustave Sherman 'Senator' Cufflinks) belonged to my late father-in-law. They were given to him by his wife (my late mother-in-law). Now, they are a keepsake to remember him, who recently passed away a few months ago this year.
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments
